Munjoy Hill
Munjoy Hill is a neighborhood and prominent geographical feature of Portland, Maine. It is located east of downtown and south of East Deering. In the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the neighborhood had a large Irish and Italian American population. The neighborhood is named for George Munjoy, who settled near the intersection of Mountfort Street and Fore Street (Portland, Maine), Fore Street. The neighborhood became known as "Mount Joy" for a period of the early 19th century, before reverting to "Munjoy". Geography At the northeastern end of Portland's peninsula, Munjoy Hill, at , overlooks the downtown and harbor to the south, Casco Bay and its islands to the east and north, and shallow Back Cove (Maine), Back Cove to the west. Fort Gorges
Fort Gorges is a former United States military fort built on Hog Island Ledge in Casco Bay, Maine, United States. Built from 1858 to 1865, no battles were fought there and no troops were stationed there. Advancing military technology, including iron clad ships and long range guns, rendered the fort obsolete before it could be used. The fort is now a park, accessible only by boat. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. . White Mountains (New Hampshire)

Fort Allen Park
Fort Allen Park is an urban park in the Munjoy Hill neighborhood of Portland, Maine, United States. It covers and abuts the Eastern Promenade to the south. It was built in the 1890s, designed by the city's chief engineer William Goodwin and backed by mayor James P. Baxter, according to a plaque in the park. Fort Allen was probably originally built in 1775, may have served as part of Fort Sumner, and was rebuilt by the city and used to guard Portland during the War of 1812 due to its high vantage point overlooking Casco Bay. Portland Head Light
Portland Head Light is a historic lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
