Mohammad Ali Arafat
Mohammad A. Arafat (born 2 May 1973) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and academic. He is a former Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and a former Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Dhaka-17 constituency in 2023–2024. On October 17, 2024, the newly reconstituted International Crimes Tribunal of Bangladesh, under the interim government headed by Muhammad Yunus, issued an arrest warrant for Arafat in connection with alleged crimes against humanity and genocide during the 2024 Bangladesh Quota Reform Movement. The Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal requested Interpol to issue red notices for several accused, including Arafat, to assist with their arrest and possible extradition. Atiqul Islam
Atiqul Islam (; born 1 July 1961) is a Bangladeshi politician, businessman and the former Mayor of North Dhaka. He was elected in the position in the by-election held on 28 February 2019 and took oath on 7 March. Earlier, he served as the President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) during 2013–14. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is the largest Islamist political party in Bangladesh. The origin of the party can be traced back to the original faction founded by Sayyid Abul A'la Maududi in 1941. The predecessor of Jamaat which is known as Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, allegedly opposed the independence of Bangladesh and the dismemberment of Pakistan. Following the independence of Bangladesh, the party was banned along with all other religion-based parties in 1972 by the regime. Manarat International University (MIU) is a private university in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 2001 by the Manarat Trust. History Manarat International University was established on 21 May 2001 by the Manarat Trust which owns Manarat Dhaka International School and College. Rapid Action Battalion (; abbreviated as RAB) is an anti-crime and anti-terrorism unit of the Bangladesh Police. This elite force consists of members of the Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Police, Border Guard Bangladesh and Bangladesh Ansar.
