Mirae (Wi-Fi)
Mirae (Korean: 미래; ) is a North Korean WiFi service that enables mobile devices to access a state-sanctioned intranet network via a separate SIM card named Mirae and an app. Only websites approved by the North Korean authorities can be accessed. In 2018, it was announced that people could access the national network through the "Mirae public wireless data communications network" smartphone app. Network was first installed on Pyongyang’s Mirae Scientists Street. The network is available at various places in Pyongyang, including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Yonggwang, Ryomyong, Haebangsan streets and the Sci-Tech Complex. The use of SIM technology ensures that authorities always maintain tight control on the network. This technology also makes it easier to track individual's online activity. North is one of the four compass points or cardinal directions. It is the opposite of south and is perpendicular to east and west. A password, sometimes called a passcode, is secret data, typically a string of characters, usually used to confirm a user's identity. NK News is an American subscription-based news website that provides stories and analysis about North Korea. Established in 2011, it is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea with reporters in Washington, D.C., and London. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) () is the state news agency of North Korea. The agency portrays the views of the North Korean government for both domestic and foreign consumption. It was established on December 5, 1946, and now features online coverage. Organization KCNA works under the Korean Central Broadcasting Committee, through which it is ultimately controlled by the Workers' Party of Korea's Propaganda and Agitation Department. In December 1996, KCNA began publishing its news articles on the Internet with its web server located in Japan. Since October 2010, stories have been published on a new site, controlled from Pyongyang, and output has been significantly increased to include world stories with no specific link to North Korea as well as news from countries that have strong DPRK ties. Manbang () is a series of state-owned digital media players issued by North Korea's Korean Central Broadcasting Committee, providing over-the-top content in the form of channels. History The exact release date of Manbang system is unclear. One of the first set-top box appears to be manufactured in 2015. An intranet site listing in 2015 included a site named "Manbang", with the operator being the Korean Central Television. On 16 August 2016, Manbang appeared for the first time on a report "망 TV다매체열람기'만방'" by the Korean Central Television. Manmulsang () is a North Korean e-commerce website. The name "Manmulsang" can be directly translated into "shop with ten thousand items." It provides commercial services that can be used via the national computer network and mobile communications. The website is an online shopping platform for North Korean businesspersons in which they can upload information about products and directly exchange opinions with buyers. It also provides economic information that can be helpful for people. Website developers borrowed overall user interface design from Microsoft's Windows 8 and the search bar from Naver. The Democratic Movement (, ; MoDem ) is a centre to centre-right political party in France, whose main ideological trends are liberalism and Christian democracy, and that is characterised by a strong pro-Europeanist stance.
