Minimates
Minimates are a block-styled miniature action figure originally created by Art Asylum in 2002, and released by Diamond Select Toys as of 2007. The basic Minimate figure design has a tall humanoid body with 14 points of joint, articulation. Released in both specialty stores as well as mass-market retailers, Minimates are made for both kid-friendly and adult-oriented properties. The toys are primarily based on licenses from a wide range of comic books, television series, movies, and video games. The longest-running series of Minimates is based on Marvel Comics, with over 85 waves of figures released to date. Diamond Select Toys
Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles, LLC was founded in 1999 by sister company Diamond Comics Distributors to create collectibles for adult collectors, and has since licensed a variety of pop culture properties, including Marvel Comics, ''Star Wars'', ''Star Trek'', ''Transformers'', ''Ghostbusters'', ''Halo (series), Halo'', ''G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero'', ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV series), Buffy the Vampire Slayer'', ''Indiana Jones'', ''Battlestar Galactica'', ''24 (TV series), 24'', ''The Muppets'' and ''Back to the Future''. While they have made collectibles in numerous product categories, including action figures, plush, banks, busts, statues and prop replicas, many of their licensed properties are released in the form of Minimates mini-figures. Invincible (comics)
Invincible is an American comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, illustrated by Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, and published by Image Comics. Set in the Image Universe, ''Invincible'' follows the coming of age of superhero Mark Grayson / Invincible, a Viltrumite and first-born son of Omni-Man, the most powerful superhero on Earth. Speed Racer
''Speed Racer'', also known as , is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuo Yoshida. It was originally serialized in print in Shueisha's 1966 ''Shōnen Book''. It was released in form by Sun Wide Comics and later re-released in Japan by Fusosha. Adapted into anime by Tatsunoko Production, its 52 episodes aired on Fuji Television from April 1967 to March 1968. In the US, the show aired in Broadcast syndication, syndication at approximately the same time. The anime was later re-broadcast on Tokyo MX from July 1 to September 25, 2008. Selected chapters of the manga were released by NOW Comics in the 1990s under the title ''Speed Racer Classics''.
