Invincible (comics)
Invincible is an American comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, illustrated by Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, and published by Image Comics. Set in the Image Universe, ''Invincible'' follows the coming of age of superhero Mark Grayson / Invincible, a Viltrumite and first-born son of Omni-Man, the most powerful superhero on Earth. The series began publication on January 22, 2003, before coming to a close on February 14, 2018, with 144 issues. Several spin-off series were released over its run: '' Brit'', '' The Pact'', ''Atom Eve & Rex Splode'', and '' Guarding the Globe''. Ryan Ottley
Ryan Ottley (born 1975) is an American comic book artist and comic book writer, writer, best known for work on Image Comics' ''Invincible (comics), Invincible'' and Marvel Comics' ''Amazing Spider-Man''. Career Ottley began drawing ''Invincible (comics), Invincible'' with issue 8, and continued on the book for 14 years, drawing 127 issues of its 144-issue run. During the course of his work on the book he co-created characters including Battle Beast, Angstrom Levy, Conquest, and Powerplex. In an interview with comic book website Project Fanboy, Ottley discussed how he got into the comic book industry after being fired from his previous job working in a medical supply warehouse. Digest-sized
Digest size is a magazine size, smaller than a conventional or "journal size" magazine, but larger than a standard paperback book, approximately . It is also a and format, similar to the size of a DVD case. These sizes evolved from the printing press operation end. Some printing presses refer to digest size as a "catalog size". Brit is a superhero appearing in comic books published by Image Comics. He first appeared in ''Brit'' (July 2003), and was created by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore. ''Brit'' supporting character, Donald Ferguson, saw his ''Brit'' storyline adapted to the second season of the Amazon Prime Video adult animated superhero series '' Invincible'', while Brit himself would appear in the series' third season, voiced by Jonathan Banks. Jamie GrooverAs stated in the letters column for ''Invincible'' #3; Image Comics, March 26 2003 is an American comic book writer who uses the pen name Benito Cereno. He is best known as the writer and co-creator of 2004's '' Tales from the Bully Pulpit'' and Hector Plasm. His work first appeared as strips in early issues of Robert Kirkman's comic book '' Invincible''. These backups were illustrated by Nate Bellegarde, and included such characters as the Deep-Fried Monkey, Deep-Fried Pirate, and pseudo-autobiographical versions of the duo themselves. Along with Bellegarde, Cereno created the supernatural investigator Hector Plasm. A compilation of short stories from both ''Western Tales of Terror'' and ''Invincible'' were re-printed in 2006 as ''Hector Plasm: De Mortuis''.
