Megan Jacoby
Megan "Meg" Jacoby is an American Hyrox athlete. She won the 2024 Hyrox World Championships. Career Jacoby was a NCAA Division I middle-distance runner at the University of Connecticut and Binghamton University where she also competed in cross-country. Jacoby first heard of Hyrox in 2022. In her second Hyrox competition, HYROX Chicago 2022, she set a new women's pro world record: 1:01:56. Jacoby became a full-time Hyrox athlete in 2023. Jacoby was the first woman to complete a HYROX pro race in under one hour. She completed the HYROX Anaheim race in 58 minutes and 58 seconds on April 22, 2023, taking the record from Mikaela Norman. She won the 2024 HYROX World Championships and led the women's competition from the third station (sled pull) onward during the race. Hyrox
HYROX is an indoor fitness competition that combines of running and eight functional workout stations, alternating between running and Functional training, functional exercises. It bills itself as "The World Series of Fitness Racing" and "A Sport for Everybody". A HYROX competition is made up of a run followed by a functional exercise station that is repeated eight times for the eight different workout stations. The events are standardized across all locations, allowing athletes to compare results globally. HYROX was launched by Christian Toetzke and Moritz Fürste. The first HYROX event was held in Hamburg, Germany in April 2018. Endwell, New York
Endwell is a hamlet (and census-designated place) located in the town of Union in Broome County, New York, United States. Its population was 11,446 at the 2010 census. Endwell is situated between the villages of Endicott and Johnson City. It is west of Binghamton and is considered a suburb of that city. Endwell is also the home of a popular local park, Highland Park, well known in the area for its annual Fourth of July fireworks display as well as its classic carousel. Although most children residing in Endwell that attend public schools are served through the Maine-Endwell School District, some attend the Union-Endicott School District.
