Manju Rani
Manju Rani (born 26 October 1999) is an Indian boxer. She won a silver medal at the 2019 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships. She also won a silver medal at the Strandja Memorial Boxing Tournament 2019 held in Bulgaria and bronze medals at the Thailand Open 2017 and India Open 2017. Background Rani hails from Rithal Phogat village in the Rohtak district of Haryana. Her father was a Border Security Force officer who died of cancer in 2010. The Rani had initially started playing kabaddi, but her coach advised her to switch to boxing. Inspired by Indian boxer MC Mary Kom's bronze-winning performance at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, Rani made a shift to boxing. Mary Kom
Mangte Chungneijang "Mary" Kom (born 24 November 1982) is an Indian Amateur boxing, Olympic boxer, politician, and former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Member of Rajya Sabha. She is the only woman to win the World Amateur Boxing Championships, World Amateur Boxing Championship six times, the only female boxer to have won a medal in each one of the first seven World Championships, and the only boxer (male or female) to win eight World Championship medals. Josie Gabuco
Josie Gabuco (born March 30, 1987) is a Filipina boxer best known for winning her country's first ever gold medal in the AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships. She is also the most successful boxer in the history of the Southeast Asian Games with a record five gold medals. Early life and education A native of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Gabuco was born on March 30, 1987. She took up the sport of boxing in 2003 with the intention of using it as a means to enter a college under a scholarship program. Kabaddi (, ) is a contact team sport played between two teams of seven players. It is one of the traditional games of South Asia. In this game, a raider enters the opposing half of the court to touch defenders and attempt to return within 30 seconds without being tackled.
