Lions Gate Chorus
Lions Gate Chorus is an a cappella choir of Sweet Adelines International, based in the Greater Vancouver metropolitan area of British Columbia, Canada. The chorus competes in Sweet Adelines International Region 26, and are the 2024 International Champions of Sweet Adelines International. Founded in 1954, the group's name "Lions Gate" refers to the Lions, a pair of mountain peaks visible to the North of Vancouver. The famous Lions' Gate Bridge crosses the first narrows of Burrard Inlet towards the Lions. Under the direction of Sandy Robinson Marron, Lions Gate Chorus has achieved many regional gold medals. At Nashville, Tennessee in 1998, the chorus earned the International Harmony Achievement Award, which is given to the highest scoring small chorus at the International contest. Sweet Adelines International
Sweet Adelines International is a worldwide organization of women singers, established in 1945, committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performances. This independent, nonprofit music education association is one of the world's largest singing organizations for women. "Harmonize the World" is the organization's motto. It has a current membership of 23,000 and holds an annual international singing competition. History Sweet Adelines International was established in 1945 by Edna Mae Anderson of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Canada's Got Talent
''Canada's Got Talent'' (often abbreviated as ''CGT'') is a Canadian talent show competition, which debuted on the Citytv network on March 4, 2012. It is part of the global ''Got Talent'' franchise. As with other series in the franchise, the show is a competition in which entertainers in various fields compete to win a prize.
