King Abdulaziz Naval Base
The King Abdulaziz Naval Base (Arabic: قاعدة الملك عبد العزيز البحرية) (KANB) is a naval base in Al-Sharqiyah, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. It is operated by the Saudi Arabian Navy. The base is located about southeast of Jubail and only from the shores of the Persian Gulf. It is home to the Eastern Fleet and the Royal Naval Academy. Their Navy Ratings "SK" (Storekeeper) and "YN" (Yeoman) learned basic skills in this school. RSNF's Western Province counterpart is in Jeddah. It is King Faisal Naval Base (KFNB). The Royal Saudi Navy ( ar, البَحْريَّة الْمَلكيَّة السُّعُودِيَّة, Al-Quwwat al-Bahriyah al-Arabiyah as-Su'udiyah) or Royal Saudi Naval Forces ( ar, القُوَّات البَحْريَّة الْمَلكيَّة السُّعُودِيَّة, Al-Quwwat al-Bahriyah al-Malakiyah as-Su'udiyah), is the maritime arm of the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces and one of the five service branches of the Ministry of Defense of Saudi Arabia. The Eastern Gulf Fleet Command ( ar, الأُسْطُول الشَرقيّ) or officially Eastern Fleet (EF), is one of the regional fleets of the Saudi Arabian Navy. It is headquartered at Royal Naval Base at Jubail, on the east coast of the Arabian Kingdom, responsible for military operations of the Saudi Navy in the Gulf waters. Jubail ( ar, الجبيل, ''Al Jubayl'') is a city in the Eastern province on the Persian Gulf coast of Saudi Arabia, with a total population of 684,531 as of 2021. King Fahd Naval Academy
The King Fahd Naval Academy ( ar, كلية الملك فهد البحرية) is the main naval academy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Royal Saudi Navy, located inside King Abdulaziz Naval Base in Jubail. It was established in 1986 and is modeled on the Britannia Royal Naval College of the Royal Navy in Dartmouth, United Kingdom. The Academy maintains close relations with the Royal Navy, and on several occasions British instructors visit to train the Saudi cadets. Saudi naval cadets from the King Fahd Academy also frequently study abroad at the Britannia Royal Naval College.
