Kahlil Byrd
Kahlil Julian Byrd is a political advisor and entrepreneur regarded as an expert in national cross-partisan reform. He has led several national political organizations in the United States. Byrd serves as founder and CEO of Invest America Fund, a public policy, reform, investment research, data and advisory firm. He is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He served as CEO of Americans Elect, a reform organization that sought to use online voting for state primaries to support a bipartisan ticket for the 2012 United States presidential election outside the two parties. Education Byrd holds a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Morehouse College. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), formerly known as the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith, is an international Jewish non-governmental organization based in the United States specializing in civil rights law. It was founded in late September 1913 by the Independent Order of B'nai B'rith, a Jewish service organization, in the wake of the contentious murder conviction of Leo Frank. ADL subsequently split from B'nai B'rith and continued as an independent US section 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Jonathan Greenblatt, a former Silicon Valley tech executive and former Obama administration official, succeeded Abraham Foxman as national director in July 2015. Howard D. Schultz (born July 19, 1953) is an American businessman and author who served as both chairman and CEO of Starbucks from 1986 to 2000, from 2008 to 2017, and as interim CEO since 2022. Schultz also owned the Seattle SuperSonics basketball team from 2001 to 2006. Schultz began working at the coffeehouse, Starbucks, in 1982. He later left and opened Il Giornale, a specialty coffeeshop, that merged with Starbucks during the late-1980s. Under Schultz, the company established a large network of stores which has influenced coffee culture in Seattle, the U.S., and internationally. Following large-scale distribution deals Starbucks became the largest coffee-house chain in the world. The 2012 United States presidential election was the 57th quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
