Kool Skools
Kool Skools is a multimedia and recording project for secondary school students across the Australian states of Victoria and New South Wales. The projects are open to all secondary schools, council youth agencies and youth clubs. Kool Skools promotes, develops and supports a diverse range of talent and genres of contemporary music. Participants of Kool Skools have the opportunity to work within a professional recording environment to record and package an album of music. At the end of each year an awards night is held where participants have the opportunity to perform some of their songs and are recognised for their work throughout the year. The Quarters (band)
The Quarters are an Australian alternative rock band, formed in Melbourne in 2005. The band shot to fame in 2007 after they were chosen by Grinspoon to open a Melbourne music festival which included acts such as Grinspoon, The Butterfly Effect and Little Birdy. The Rock and Roll outfit is composed of Christopher James (vocals/guitar), Stephanie Jane (vocals/bass) and Braiden Mann (drums). History On 12 November 2005 The Quarters formed as a band in order to fill a vacancy in the Pakenham McDonald's’ McHappy Day Charity Show. Billanook College
Billanook College is an independent co-ed school with an early learning program through to Year 12, located in Mooroolbark, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It operates in association with the Uniting Church in Australia (but is not governed or managed by the Church) and is a member of Round Square. It was founded in 1980 by the founding principal Peter Harris. The college's current principal is Roger Oates. Wangaratta High School
Wangaratta High School is a secondary education institution in Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia. It was the 2002 winner of the Kool Skools award. It has consolidated from three campuses (Ovens College and the Wangaratta HS / GoTAFE Campus), back to one campus in 2014. The Senior Years Learning Community, housing students in Years 10 - 12 is a state of the art building powered by geothermal energy. It was completed in 2009 along with the refurbishment of the PAC (Performing Arts Centre). A new administrative office and Science / Technology and Arts building was completed in 2013. Pakenham Secondary College
Pakenham Secondary College is situated approximately 50 kilometres southeast of Melbourne, Australia. Established in 1968 to provide education to a largely rural community, the school now enrols over 750 students from an urban community.
