Åke Jonsson
Åke Jonsson (born 5 October 1942) is a Swedish former professional motocross racer. He was one of the top riders in the Motocross World Championships during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Jonsson came close to winning the world championship title in 1968, 1970 and in 1971 when he led the championship going into the final round when, a mechanical failure ruined his bid. Motocross racing career Born in Hammerdal, Jonsson's family moved to Västerås when he was a child. He became a skilled speed skater and belonged to the Swedish top junior elite before his motorcycle racing career took precedence. Jan Jonsson (Swedish Air Force Officer)
Lieutenant General Jan Bertil Gustav Jonsson (22 September 1952 – 11 November 2021) was a senior Swedish Air Force officer. Jonsson served as Inspector General of the Air Force from 1998 to 2000, as head of the Joint Forces Command from 2000 to 2007 as well as the Commandant General in Stockholm from 2006 to 2007. Early life Jonsson was born on 22 September 1952 in Bräcke, Sweden, the son of captain Bertil Jonsson and his wife Yvonne (née Ölund). He was gliding as a 15-year-old in Halmstad and enrolled at the Swedish Air Force Flying School in Ljungbyhed in 1970. Career Military career Jonsson served as sergeant pilot (''fältflygare'') and was assigned to Skaraborg Wing (F 7) from 1971 to 1978. Daniel Jonsson
Daniel Jonsson (1599–1663) was a soldier and commander of Dalarna Regiment of the Swedish Empire. Background and family Daniel Jonsson was born in 1599 in Bengtsarvet, Sollerön as the son of ensign Jon Andersson and Sara Olofsdotter. He has become something of a local hero in Sollerön and a rich variety of legends and stories have been set up around his exploits and life. He fought in the Thirty Years' War, and eventually advanced to the rank of Major and commander of Mora kompani. In 1633 he married Margareta Danielsdotter Terseriana, granddaughter of the powerful pastor Ingelbertus Olai Helsingus in Leksand. To commemorate the war hero Daniel Jonsson, an epitaph was placed in Mora church, some years after his death and just after liberation of Sollerö parish from Mora parish in 1775. Mats Jonsson (born in 1973) is a Swedish comic creator. Debuting as a teenager in the Swedish fanzine society, Jonsson later became one of the prime Swedish representants for the autobiographical comic genre, inspired by American and Canadian comic creators such as Harvey Pekar, Seth, and Joe Matt. Though born in Södertälje near Stockholm, Jonsson grew up in Kramfors in the northern Ådalen area. Per Markus Jonsson (born 9 March 1981) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a defender. He was a member of the Sweden speedway team that won the World Cup in 2003, 2004 and 2015. Niklas Jonsson (born 31 May 1969, in Piteå) is a Swedish cross-country skier who competed from 1990 to 2002. He won the silver medal in the 50 km at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano. At that event, Jonsson started 30 seconds ahead of the gold medal favourite Bjørn Dæhlie. Soon Dæhlie caught up Jonsson, and they were skiing together for most of the distance.
