Jamal Mashburn Jr.
Jamal Mashburn Jr. (born September 29, 2001) is an American college basketball player for the Temple Owls of the American Athletic Conference (AAC). He previously played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers and New Mexico Lobos. Early life and high school career Mashburn is the son of former NBA player Jamal Mashburn. The younger Mashburn grew up playing baseball and lacrosse, and only turned to basketball at age 10. He began his high school career at Gulliver Prep and averaged 24 points per game as a freshman. As a sophomore, Mashburn averaged 27.4 points per game. He earned first-team all-state honors. For his junior season, Mashburn transferred to Brewster Academy. Jalen Evander Lecque (born June 13, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA G League. A consensus four-star recruit and former NC State commit, Lecque chose to forgo college basketball and immediately entered the 2019 NBA draft. Richard Pitino
Richard William Pitino (born September 16, 1982) is an American college basketball coach. He is currently the head coach of the New Mexico Lobos men's basketball team. From 2013 to 2021, he was head coach of the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers men's basketball team. He is the son of Iona head coach Rick Pitino. The New Mexico Lobos are the athletic teams that represent the University of New Mexico, located in Albuquerque. The university participates in the NCAA Division I in the Mountain West Conference (MW) since 1999, after leaving the Western Athletic Conference.
