Jaahid Ali
Jaahid Shaukat Ali (born 5 March 1995) is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for Karachi. He made his first-class debut on 26 October 2015 in the 2015–16 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. In October 2017, he was named in Pakistan's squad for the 2017 Hong Kong Cricket Sixes. He was the leading run-scorer for Khan Research Laboratories in the 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, with 355 runs in eight matches. He was also the leading run-scorer for Khan Research Laboratories in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy The 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Pakistan from 1 September to 8 December 2018. 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy
The 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was the 60th edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistan's domestic first-class cricket competition. It was contested by 16 teams representing eight regional associations and eight departments, and took place from 26 September to 25 December 2017, spanning almost two weeks less than originally planned. Pakistan's former Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq was critical of the compressed schedule and the quality of the pitches saying "it takes time to prepare a good pitch for a game and nobody can make it in two days". The format of the competition remained the same as the previous season, with two round-robin group stages and a final. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field, at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails (small sticks) balanced on three stumps. Two players from the batting team, the striker and nonstriker, stand in front of either wicket holding bats, while one player from the fielding team, the bowler, bowls the ball toward the striker's wicket from the opposite end of the pitch. 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy
The 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Pakistan from 1 September to 8 December 2018. Following the conclusion of each match, the teams played each other in a List A fixture in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup tournament. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited were the defending champions. In April 2018, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) won the Patron's Trophy Grade-II tournament to qualify for this years' edition of the competition. ZTBL won their opening fixture of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, against Lahore Blues, by 151 runs. Prior to the start of the tournament, two players were dropped by their teams. Khan Research Laboratories Cricket Team
Khan Research Laboratories is a Pakistani first-class cricket side that plays in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, and also competed in limited overs cricket. It is sponsored by Pakistani nuclear enrichment facility Khan Research Laboratories (KRL). They have played first-class cricket since the 1997–98 season. After the completion of the 2016–17 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, they had played 171 matches, with 61 wins, 40 losses and 70 draws. Their home ground is KRL Stadium in Rawalpindi.
