JaQuan Bailey
JaQuan Bailey (born May 28, 1997) is an American football defensive end who is currently a free agent. He was signed as an undrafted free agent in May 2021. He went to college at Iowa State. Early life and education Bailey was born on May 28, 1997 in Jacksonville, Florida. He went to William M. Raines High School before attending Iowa State University. He was a 3-star recruit and choose Iowa State over offers from Tennessee, Florida, Louisville, and Virginia Tech. In his first season he played in 12 games, starting 7, and was named Freshmen All-America. The next season he was an Honorable Mention All Big-12, with 7 sacks. He played in 13 games for the second straight year in 2018. He had 46 tackles to lead all Iowa State defensive linemen. He was named Second-team All Big-12 and on the Ted Hendricks award watchlist. Defensive End
Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an " end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. When most teams adopted a five-man line, two different styles of end play developed: "crashing" ends, who rushed into the backfield to disrupt plays, and "stand-up" or "waiting" ends, who played the more traditional containment style. The Florida Gators football program represents the University of Florida (UF) in American college football. Florida competes in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The 2022 USFL Draft, also known as the 2022 USFL Player Selection Meeting, was the player selection process to fill the rosters of the eight teams for the 2022 USFL season. The draft was held on February 22–23, 2022, with results released through the USFL's social media channels. Structure The USFL player allocation process will be held in multiple phases, separated by position groups. The league will use a "snake" format in each phase, in which the draft order reversed with each round. The draft order will be shuffled for each phase as predetermined through lotteries. The 2021 NFL Draft was the 86th National Football League Draft, the annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible players for the 2021 NFL season. The draft was held in Cleveland from April 29 to May 1, 2021.
