''Immortalized'' is the sixth studio album by American heavy metal band Disturbed. The album was released on August 21, 2015, by Reprise Records, and is Disturbed's first studio album since '' Asylum'' (2010), marking the longest gap between two studio albums in their career. With 98,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, ''Immortalized'' is Disturbed's fifth consecutive number one debut on the United States ''Billboard'' 200 chart. They are the third band in history to achieve this feat, after Metallica and Dave Matthews Band. The band also found crossover success in the album's third single, a cover of the 1964 song "The Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel, which marked Disturbed's highest ranked single on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 at number 42 and has since become Disturbed's biggest song since " Down with the Sickness". Disturbed is an American heavy metal music, heavy metal band from Chicago, formed in 1994. The band includes guitarist Dan Donegan, drummer Mike Wengren, lead vocalist David Draiman and bassist John Moyer. Donegan and Wengren have been involved in the band since its inception, with Draiman replacing original lead vocalist Erich Awalt in 1996 and Moyer replacing original bassist Steve "Fuzz" Kmak in 2004. Disturbed's debut album, ''The Sickness'', was released in 2000 as a commercial success, mainly due to the singles "Down With the Sickness" and "Stupify". Mike Wengren
Michael Wengren (born September 3, 1971) is an American drummer, best known for his work with Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Disturbed (band), Disturbed. He is one of the founding members of the band, which was formed in 1994. Wengren is known for his bass drum techniques that have become a staple of Disturbed's music. Biography Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Wengren has been playing drums since around the age of 10. He attended Curie High School on the Southwest side of Chicago. David Draiman
David Michael Draiman (; born March 13, 1973) is an American heavy metal singer. Noted for his distorted baritone voice and percussive singing style, he has been the lead vocalist of Disturbed since 1996. He has written some of the band's most successful singles, such as " Stupify", " Down with the Sickness", " Indestructible", and " Inside the Fire". In 2006, he was ranked at No. 42 on the ''Hit Parader'' list of "Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time". Asylum Tour (Disturbed)
The Asylum Tour was a 2010–11 concert tour by American heavy metal band Disturbed in support of the group's fifth studio album, '' Asylum'', which was released in August 2010. The tour began in mid-August 2010 with an appearance as part of a series of concerts held during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota, United States. This was followed by the commencement of the Uproar Festival, a North American touring event which features Disturbed as headliners and includes acts such as Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour and Hellyeah. The festival began in Minneapolis and culminated in Madison, Wisconsin in early October. Dan Donegan
Daniel Joseph Donegan (born August 1, 1968) is an American musician who is the guitarist, keyboardist and one of the founding members of heavy metal band Disturbed. Donegan began playing guitar as a teenager and eventually formed a band called Vandal, which was a 1980s-style glam metal band. He also played with some of the members of Vandal in another band that was called Loudmouth, and has pursued a side project band, Fight or Flight, in collaboration with Disturbed band member Mike Wengren. Donegan was added to the guitar show ''Chop Shop''s list of "Top 100 Most Complete Guitar Players of All Time" at number 76. John Moyer
John Robert Moyer (born November 30, 1973) is an American musician, best known as the bassist for the heavy metal band Disturbed. After the demise of his previous band, The Union Underground, Moyer took over for previous Disturbed bassist Steve "Fuzz" Kmak in 2004. Moyer has played with the group since their third studio album, '' Ten Thousand Fists'', which he played on as a session member, becoming a full-time member around 2005 during the supporting tour for the album. Moyer has also played bass for the supergroup Adrenaline Mob, Art of Anarchy and Operation: Mindcrime. He currently also plays in Stereo Satellite. Simon & Garfunkel were an American folk rock duo comprising the singer-songwriter Paul Simon and the singer Art Garfunkel. They were one of the best-selling music acts of the 1960s.
