Georges Delnon
Georges Delnon (born 20 March 1958) is a Swiss theatre director, artistic director and professor. From 2006 to 2015 he was the artistic director of the Theater Basel and he took over the management of the Hamburg State Opera in 2015. Life Delnon grew up in Bern. Mark Andre (born 10 May 1964) is a French composer living in Germany. He was known as "Marc André," his birth name, until 2007, when he formally revised the spelling. He lives in Berlin. Andre's compositions ''durch'' (2006), ''...auf... III'' (2007), and ''Wunderzaichen'' (2014) received multiple votes in a 2017 ''Classic Voice'' poll of the greatest works of art music since 2000. Biography Andre was born in Paris. He studied composition from 1987 to 1993 with Claude Ballif and Gérard Grisey at the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique. Staatstheater Mainz
The Staatstheater Mainz (Mainz State Theatre) is a theatre in Mainz, Germany, which is owned and operated by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Situated on the Gutenbergplatz, the complex comprises two theatres which are connected by an underground passage and also by skywalk. Performances of opera, drama and ballet are presented. Its name was Stadttheater Mainz (municipal theatre) until 1989. The main building was constructed between 1829 and 1833 by Georg Moller in Neoclassical style. The construction had been requested by the bourgeoisie of the city of Mainz for decades and cost 280,000 guilders (the city's budget amounted to 300,000 guilders at that time). The Theater Koblenz is a multi-arts theatre with its own ensembles for drama, music theatre, puppetry and ballet located in Koblenz, Germany. Wolfgang Rihm (born 13 March 1952) is a German composer and academic teacher. He is musical director of the Institute of New Music and Media at the University of Music Karlsruhe and has been composer in residence at the Lucerne Festival and the Salzburg Festival. Schwetzingen Festival
The Schwetzingen Festival (German: Schwetzinger Festspiele, now Schwetzinger SWR Festspiele) is an early summer festival of opera and other classical music presented each year from May to early June in Schwetzingen, Germany. In 1952, the broadcaster Süddeutscher Rundfunk founded the festival in the Schwetzingen area. It is located in a beautiful 250-year-old palace and park, Schwetzingen Castle, near the famous city of Heidelberg. The main venue is the historic Schlosstheater Schwetzingen. Carola Bauckholt
Carola Bauckholt (born 21 August 1959) is a German composer. She was born in Krefeld, West Germany. She worked at the Marienplatz Theater in Krefeld and studied music with Mauricio Kagel at the Cologne College of Music and Dance from 1978–84. Bauckholt in 1985 co-founded Thürmchen Verlag (literally, "Turret Publications"), a publisher of experimental music in Cologne, and in 1991 co-founded the affiliated Thürmchen ensemble, also in Cologne. In 1990-91, she attended the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart on scholarship, in 1992 the Schreyahn Artists' Colony in Lower Saxony and in 1997 the Villa Massimo in Rome.
