General Dutch Youth League
(ANJV) was a political youth movement in the Netherlands. ANJV was founded on 15 June 1945, in Concert building, Amsterdam. The ANJV was an independent youth organisation inspired by, and with links to, the (Communist Party of the Netherlands). Contrary to popular belief, the ANJV was not the youth organisation of the CPN, but had an independent broad "all-youth" structure, similar to that of the East-German (FDJ). This is as opposed to the or the which are directly related to the and the , respectively. The ANJV was dissolved in 2005, after 60 years. The predecessor of ANJV was . The Communist Party of the Netherlands ( nl, Communistische Partij Nederland, , CPN) was a Dutch communist party. Freie Deutsche Jugend
The Free German Youth (german: Freie Deutsche Jugend; FDJ) is a youth movement in Germany. Formerly, it was the official youth movement of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) and the Socialist Unity Party of Germany. The organization was meant for young adults, both male and female, between the ages of 14 and 25 and comprised about 75% of the young adult population of former East Germany. In 1981–1982, this meant 2.3 million members. After joining the Thälmann Pioneers, which was for school children between ages 6 to 13, East German youths would usually join the FDJ. The FDJ was intended to be the "reliable assistant and fighting reserve of the Worker's Party", while Socialist Unity Party of Germany was a member of the National Front and had representatives in the People's Chamber. The Young Socialists in the PvdA ( nl, Jonge Socialisten in de PvdA, JS) is a Dutch social-democratic youth organisation. The JS is a politically independent organisation, but is affiliated with the Labour Party (PvdA). Members must be between 12 and 28 years old. Members are not required to be a member of the Labour Party. JS used to be a democratic socialist organisation that promotes the full participation of young people in society. Since 2007 however, the JS has adapted social democracy as their ideology, calling for "a peaceful and just world with happy and committed people." The JS has a very diverse and active memberbase and is entirely run by young people. The Labour Party ( nl, Partij van de Arbeid, , abbreviated as ''PvdA'', or ''P van de A'', ) is a social-democratic political party in the Netherlands. The World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY) is an international youth organization, and has historically characterized itself as left-wing and anti-imperialist. The Communist Youth Movement ( nl, Communistische Jongerenbeweging, CJB) is a political youth organisation in the Netherlands.
