Gambir Railway Station
Gambir Train Station ( id, Stasiun Gambir, station code: GMR) is a major railway station in Gambir, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Jakarta, Indonesia. The station is located on the eastern side of Merdeka Square. It was built during the Dutch East Indian era and renovated in the 1990s. Currently Gambir Station serves as a terminus for most intercity trains operating across Java Island. One of Jakarta's main commuter lines, the KRL Commuterline Bogor Line (to Bogor) pass through this station, but do not stop here. There are however, plans to reactivate the station as a stop for commuter, due to high volume of passenger that board and exiting from Gambir's neighboring-commuter only stations ( and station). Sunda Kelapa ( su, , Sunda Kalapa) is the old port of Jakarta located on the estuarine of Ciliwung River. "Sunda Kalapa" ( Sundanese: "Coconut of Sunda") is the original name, and it was the main port of the Sunda Kingdom. The port is situated in Penjaringan sub-district, of North Jakarta, Indonesia. Today the old port only accommodate pinisi, a traditional two masted wooden sailing ship serving inter-island freight service in the archipelago. Manggarai Station (MRI) is a railway station at Manggarai, Tebet in Jakarta, Indonesia. At present, it serves primarily as a transit station for Greater Jakarta Commuterline and Soekarno–Hatta Airport Rail Link; however the station will replace Gambir as the terminus for most intercity trains in 2025. KAI Commuter Bogor Line
The Bogor Line, also known as KRL Commuter Line Jakarta Kota–Bogor/Nambo is a commuter rail line in Indonesia, operated by PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI). The line connects Jakarta Kota station in West Jakarta and Bogor station in Bogor, West Java. On maps and diagrams, the line is shown using the color "red" (). The line is the busiest in the KA Commuter system. The Bogor Line was the second electrified rail line to be built, after Tanjung Priuk-Jatinegara line. Until May 2022, the elevated tracks and stations between Jakarta Kota and Manggarai are shared with the Cikarang Line, whereas the ground tracks and stations between Manggarai and Bogor are shared with the Loop Line. Joglo is a type of traditional vernacular house of the Javanese people (Javanese ''omah''). The word ''joglo'' refers to the shape of the roof. In the highly hierarchical Javanese culture, the type of the roof of a house reflects the social and economic status of the owners of the house; joglo houses is traditionally associated with Javanese aristocrats.
