Manggarai Railway Station
Manggarai Station (MRI) is a railway station at Manggarai, Tebet in Jakarta, Indonesia. At present, it serves primarily as a transit station for Greater Jakarta Commuterline and Soekarno–Hatta Airport Rail Link; however the station will replace Gambir as the terminus for most intercity trains in 2025. The Bukit Duri depot is located in south of the Manggarai station. History 20th century The region of Manggarai has already known since the 17th century. It is the residence and market for slaves from Manggarai, Flores which later developed into Gementee Meester Cornelis. Although the Batavia—Buitenzorg line was built by the Nederlands-Indische Spoorweg Maatschappij (NIS) in 1873, Manggarai Station was built in 1914 and completed on 1 May 1918. KRL Commuterline
KRL Commuterline, or commonly known as Commuterline, is a commuter rail system for Greater Jakarta in Indonesia. It was previously known as KRL Jabodetabek. It is operated by PT KAI Commuter Indonesia (KAI Commuter/KCI), a subsidiary of the Indonesian national railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI). The rail system uses rolling stock of rapid transit standard and operates at high frequency with a minimum headway. In 2019, the average number of KRL users per day reaches average of 1.04 million, with the record of the highest number of users served in a day being 1,154,080. "KRL" itself stands for "Kereta Rel Listrik" (literally "electric rail train" or "electric railcar"), a term for an electric multiple unit train. Tanah Abang
Tanah Abang is a district of Central Jakarta, Indonesia. The district hosts the biggest textile market in Southeast Asia, Tanah Abang Market. It hosts Bung Karno Stadium, in Kelurahan Gelora, and the western half of the largely skyscraper-dominated Sudirman Central Business District. Jatinegara
Jatinegara (originally known as Meester Cornelis or Meester for short) is one of the districts (''Kecamatan'') of East Jakarta, Indonesia. The name also refers to the larger, historic area of the colonial town of Meester Cornelis. Established in the 17th century, Jatinegara is one of the oldest areas in Jakarta, and contains a number of buildings from the colonial period. Flores
Flores is one of the Lesser Sunda Islands, a group of islands in the eastern half of Indonesia. Manggarai Regency is a regency in East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia, situated on the island of Flores.
