Gabriel Woolf
Gabriel Woolf (born 2 October 1932) is a British film, radio and television actor. Career Among Woolf's leading parts was his performance as the Apostle John in a frequently repeated BBC adaptation of The Man Born to Be King where he also introduced each play. His film roles include Sir Percival in the 1953 film, ''Knights of the Round Table'' and Sutekh in the 1975 ''Doctor Who'' serial ''Pyramids of Mars''. Woolf renewed his association with ''Doctor Who'' in 1981 by reading three novelisations of Doctor Who stories for the Royal National Institute of Blind People. The books were '' The Three Doctors'', '' Doctor Who and the Carnival of Monsters'' and '' Doctor Who and the Loch Ness Monster'', all written by Terrance Dicks. He joined up with the Doctor again by performing in the Big Finish Productions audio play '' Arrangements for War'' and its sequel, '' Thicker than Water''. Faction Paradox
''Faction Paradox'' is a series of novels, audio stories, short story anthologies, and comics set in and around a "War in Heaven", a history-spanning conflict between godlike "Great Houses" and their mysterious enemy. The series is named after a group originally created by author Lawrence Miles for BBC Books' ''Doctor Who'' novels. Overviews Originally a subplot in the Eighth Doctor Adventures, the War involves several characters and concepts evolved from the original ''Doctor Who'' set-up. Lord Peter Wimsey (radio Series)
''Lord Peter Wimsey'' is a series of full cast BBC Radio drama adaptations of Dorothy L. Sayers's Lord Peter Wimsey detective novels broadcast on BBC Radio 4 between 1973 and 1983, with a further adaptation of ''Gaudy Night'' mounted for BBC Audiobooks in 2005 to complete the full sequence of Sayers' novels, all starring Ian Carmichael in the title role. Cast and crew The series stars Ian Carmichael as aristocratic sleuth Lord Peter Wimsey. Carmichael played the role concurrently in five BBC Television adaptations beginning with ''Clouds of Witness'' in April 1972. Charles Parker (detective)
Sergeant/Inspector/Chief Inspector Charles Parker is a fictional police detective who appears in several Lord Peter Wimsey stories by Dorothy L. Sayers, and later becomes Lord Peter's brother-in-law. Sayers works He is first introduced in '' Whose Body?'' as a Detective Inspector from Scotland Yard. In the next book, '' Clouds of Witness'', he is summoned to assist the local police in the North Riding of Yorkshire who are investigating the death of Captain Dennis Cathcart, the fiancé of Peter's sister, Lady Mary Wimsey, apparently at the hands of Wimsey's brother, the Duke of Denver. Parker first sees Lady Mary at the inquest into Cathcart. Travelling to Paris, where Cathcart had lived previously, he uncovers evidence which implicates Lady Mary in Cathcart's death – which makes Parker very depressed, since he is clearly in love with her. Romeo
Romeo Montague () is the male protagonist of William Shakespeare's tragedy ''Romeo and Juliet''. The son of Lord Montague and his wife, Lady Montague, he secretly loves and marries Juliet, a member of the rival House of Capulet, through a priest named Friar Laurence. Juliet then becomes Juliet Montague. Forced into exile after slaying Juliet's cousin, Tybalt, in a duel, Romeo commits suicide upon hearing falsely of Juliet's death. The character's origins can be traced as far back as Pyramus, who appears in Ovid's ''Metamorphoses'', but the first modern incarnation of Romeo is Mariotto in the 33rd of Masuccio Salernitano's ''Il Novellino'' (1476). This story was reworked in 1524 by Luigi da Porto as ''Giulietta e Romeo'' (published posthumously in 1531). The Satan Pit
"The Satan Pit" is the ninth episode of the second series of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast on 10 June 2006. It is the second part of a two-part story. The first part, " The Impossible Planet", was broadcast on 3 June. The episode is set on Krop Tor, a planet orbiting a black hole. The second series of British science fiction programme ''Doctor Who'' began on 25 December 2005 with the Christmas special " The Christmas Invasion". BBC Radio 4 Extra (formerly BBC Radio 7) is a British digital radio station from the BBC, broadcasting archived repeats of comedy, drama and documentary programmes nationally, 24 hours a day. The Scarifyers
''The Scarifyers'' is an audio adventure and comic book series produced by Bafflegab Productions (formerly Cosmic Hobo Productions) and based on stories written by Simon Barnard and Paul Morris. Set in 1936 and 1937, it originally followed the exploits of DI Lionheart and ghost-story writer Professor Edward Dunning, as played by Nicholas Courtney and Terry Molloy. (It may be no coincidence that 'Edward Dunning' is the name of the protagonist of M R James' ghost story, "Casting the Runes", a man knowledgeable about the occult.) Each adventure is a self-contained story and is released on CD and direct download. The first two stories, ''The Nazad Conspiracy'' and ''The Devil of Denge Marsh'', were broadcast on BBC7 in 2007.
