GR Cup
The GR Cup (previously known as the Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia 86 Series) is an Australian one-make motor racing competition for Toyota 86 cars. It is sanctioned by Motorsport Australia as an Authorised Series with Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Ltd appointed as the Category Manager. The series was first contested in 2016. One-design racing is a racing method which may be adopted in sports using complex equipment, whereby all vehicles have identical or very similar designs or models, avoiding the need for a Handicapping, handicap system. Motorsport One-make racing series (also known as spec racing series) are racing series in which all competitors race with identical or very similar vehicles from the same manufacturer and suppliers. Typically, this means the same type of chassis, powertrain, tyres, brakes, and fuel are used by all drivers. Will Brown (racing Driver)
William Brown (born 5 June 1998) is an Australian racing driver currently competing in the Supercars Championship, Repco Supercars Championship with Triple Eight Race Engineering (Australia), Triple Eight Race Engineering, driving the No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Chevrolet ZL1, and in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 13 Chevrolet ZL1 for Kaulig Racing. Brown won the 2024 Supercars Championship driving for Triple Eight Race Engineering. 2018 Toyota 86 Racing Series
The 2018 Toyota 86 Racing Series was an Australian motor racing competition for Toyota 86 cars. The series began on 20 April at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit and concluded on 25 November at Newcastle Street Circuit. It was the third running of the Toyota 86 Racing Series. Defending series winner, Jimmy Vernon elected not to defend his title, choosing to contest the 2018 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Australia instead. The series was won by Tim Brook.
