Greater Mohali Area Development Authority, shortly known as GMADA, is state development authority of Punjab State, India. Chief minister of Punjab is its chairman. Mohali, officially Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar or Ajitgarh, is a planned city in the Mohali district in Punjab, India, Punjab, India, which is an administrative and a commercial hub lying south-west of Chandigarh. Banur
Banur (also transliterated as Banoor, Binoor and Binor) is a small town in the Punjab state of India. It is located in the Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district of Punjab. It is about 22 km south of Mohali, 12 km north of Rajpura and 30 km south west of Chandigarh. It is well connected to its district Mohali and the capital City of Chandigarh. Mullanpur Garibdass is a town in Mohali district in the Indian state of Punjab, north of the city of Mohali and Chandigarh. Mullanpur Garibdass village is located in vicinity of this town. History This town was founded by Garibdass, a commander of King Hathnoria Raja. The full name of the town is "Mullanpur Garibdass Da". Mandi Gobindgarh is a town and municipal committee in Fatehgarh Sahib district in the state of Punjab in North India. It is also referred to as the "Steel City of Punjab or "Loha Mandi" due to its large number of steel factories. History According to local knowledge (and authenticated by the Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC)), the sixth Sikh Guru, Guru Hargobind, stayed along the bank of Lake Barhi Dhab for 40 days in 1646. Rupnagar district is one of twenty-three districts in the state of Punjab, India.
