Mohali
Mohali, officially Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar or Ajitgarh, is a planned city in the Mohali district in Punjab, India, Punjab, India, which is an administrative and a commercial hub lying south-west of Chandigarh. It is the headquarters of the Mohali district and one of the six Municipal Corporations of the State. It is officially named after Sahibzada Ajit Singh, the eldest son of Guru Gobind Singh. Mohali has developed rapidly as an IT hub of the state of Punjab, and has thus grown in importance. The Government of Punjab, India, Government of Punjab has initiated significant infrastructure and recreation projects in attempts to increase the standard of living in Mohali. The Mohali Municipal Corporation, also known as Municipal Corporation SAS Nagar, is the civic body that governs the planned city of Mohali in Punjab, India. The I. S. Bindra Punjab Cricket Association Stadium is a cricket ground located in Mohali, Punjab, India. It is commonly referred to as the Mohali Stadium. The stadium is home to the Punjab cricket team and formerly the IPL franchise Punjab Kings. It has an official capacity of 26,950 spectators. Fateh Burj
The Fateh Burj (), a prominent tourist site in Punjab and the tallest victory tower in India, is situated in the historical village of Chappar Chiri in the SAS Nagar district (Mohali district) of Punjab state. It was completed in 2011. The tower is dedicated to establishment of the Sikh Misls in a large part of Punjab in 1711. It is situated in Banda Singh Bahadur Road. Ajit Singh (Sikhism)
Ajit Singh (, pronunciation: ; 11 February 1687 – 7 December 1704), also referred to with honorifics as Sahibzada Ajit Singh or Baba Ajit Singh, was the eldest son of Guru Gobind Singh and the son of Mata Sundari. His younger brothers were Jujhar Singh, Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh, but they had been born to Mata Jito. He was killed in the Second Battle of Chamkaur along with his brother Jujhar Singh. His other two brothers, Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh, nine and seven years old, respectively, were bricked alive at Fatehgarh Sahib on order of Wazir Khan, governor of Sirhind-Fategarh.
