Frank Herman Schofield
Frank Herman Schofield (January 4, 1869 – February 20, 1942) was a decorated admiral in the United States Navy, where he served with distinction in the Spanish–American War and World War I. He was also acting governor of Guam from January 11, 1904, to January 28, 1904. Military career Born in Jerusalem, New York, Schofield graduated from the United States Naval Academy on June 6, 1890, and was commissioned ensign in 1892. During the Spanish–American War, he served as executive officer of the , participating in the blockade of Cuban ports and in the capture of four enemy ships. Between 1898 and 1917, he served in various capacities afloat and ashore including duty in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations and a brief position as acting Governor of Guam from January 11, 1904, to January 28, 1904. Arlington National Cemetery
Arlington National Cemetery is one of two national cemeteries run by the United States Army. Nearly 400,000 people are buried in its 639 acres (259 ha) in Arlington, Virginia. The Geneva Naval Conference was a conference held to discuss naval arms limitation, held in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1927.
