FK Metalac Gornji Milanovac
FK Metalac Gornji Milanovac () is a professional football club based in Gornji Milanovac, Serbia. They compete in the Serbian First League, the second tier of the national league system. History The club was founded as FK Radnik on 12 June 1961. The initiative came from Miroslav Spasojević, a former FK Takovo player, and was backed by two local companies, Graditelj and Metalac. The club was immediately registered with the Čačak Football Subassociation and started competing in the local leagues. They would change their name to FK Metalac in 1965. The club made its first notable achievement by qualifying for the Yugoslav Cup in 1974, but lost away to Borac Travnik in the opening round. In 1995, the club merged with FK Autoeksport, taking its spot in the Morava-Šumadija Zone League, the fourth tier of football in FR Yugoslavia. Stadion Metalac
Stadion Metalac () is a football stadium in Gornji Milanovac, Serbia. It is the home ground of Metalac Gornji Milanovac. The stadium consists of three stands with a total seating capacity of 4,350. History Background and construction Before earning promotion to the Serbian SuperLiga for the first time in 2009, Metalac Gornji Milanovac hosted its matches at the nearby Stadion SD Takovo, colloquially known as the Stadion kraj Despotovice, owned by local rivals Takovo. However, due to the league's stadium requirements, the club was forced to play its home matches in Kragujevac, Čačak and Lučani over the next three seasons before suffering relegation from the top flight. On 9 September 2011, Metalac a.d. signed an agreement with the local and national authorities to build a new stadium for Metalac Gornji Milanovac. Serbian League West
Serbian League West ( sr, Српска лига Запад, Srpska liga Zapad) is one of four sections of the Serbian League, the third national tier. The other three sections are Serbian League Belgrade, Serbian League East and Serbian League Vojvodina. It is also the highest regional league for the western part of Serbia. The league was founded in 2003 following a merger between the Serbian League Dunav and the Serbian League Morava. NATO Bombing Of Yugoslavia
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) carried out an aerial bombing campaign against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia during the Kosovo War. The air strikes lasted from 24 March 1999 to 10 June 1999. COVID-19 Pandemic In Serbia
The COVID-19 pandemic in Serbia is a current outbreak of the disease COVID-19 in Serbia caused by the virus SARS-CoV-2. Its first case in Serbia was reported on 6 March 2020, and confirmed by Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar. The case was a 43-year-old man from Bačka Topola who had travelled to Budapest. In late June 2020, the Balkan Insight published a report based on the allegedly leaked data from the internal Government COVID-19 information system. This report stated that in reality, Serbia had recorded 632 deaths due to COVID-19 in the period from 19 March to 1 June 2020, which corresponds to 388 additional deaths caused by the virus that were not publicly reported. Fudbalski klub Napredak Kruševac (), commonly known as Napredak Kruševac, is a Serbian professional football club based in the city of Kruševac. The word ''Napredak'' means "progress" in Serbian. The club's nickname is the Čarapani which translates in English to the sock-men, the origin of this nickname are from the times of the First Serbian Uprising, when the local insurgents took off their slippers and silently went to defend their homeland against the Ottoman occupation of Serbia, in socks. The 2011–12 Serbian SuperLiga (known as the Jelen SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons) is the sixth season of the Serbian SuperLiga since its establishment. The defending champions are Partizan, after having won their fourth Serbian Superliga title in a row at the conclusion of the previous season. Partizan successfully defended their title after a 4–0 victory at Borac Čačak with three games left to play. It was their fifth consecutive Serbian title and their 24th domestic championship. Teams Inđija and Čukarički were relegated to the 2011–12 Serbian First League after the 2010–11 season for finishing in 15th and 16th place, respectively.
