Françoise Thébaud
Françoise Thébaud (born 1952) is a French historian, professor ''emeritus'' of history, and specialist in the history of women. In 2017, she was awarded the Chevalier of the Légion d'honneur. Early life and education Françoise Thébaud was born in 1952. She studied at the École normale supérieure de lettres et sciences humaines, and completed a 3rd cycle thesis entitled (When our grandmothers gave life: motherhood in France in the interwar period). She completed the '' Agrégation d'histoire'' in 1975. Women's History
Women's history is the study of the role that Woman, women have played in history and Historiography, the methods required to do so. It includes the study of the history of the growth of woman's rights, women's rights throughout recorded history, personal achievements over a period of time, the examination of individual and groups of women of historical significance, and the effect that historical events have had on women. Alain Corbin
Alain Corbin (born January 12, 1936, in Courtomer) is a French historian. He is a specialist of the 19th century in France and in microhistory. Trained in the Annales School, Corbin's work has moved away from the large-scale collective structures studied by Fernand Braudel towards a history of sensibilities which is closer to Lucien Febvre's history of ''mentalités''. His books have explored the histories of such subjects as male desire and prostitution, sensory experience of smell and sound, and the 1870 burning of a young nobleman in a Dordogne village. A woman is an adult female human. Before adulthood, a female child or adolescent is referred to as a girl. Typically, women are of the female sex and inherit a pair of X chromosomes, one from each parent, and women with functional uteruses are capable of pregnancy and giving birth from puberty until menopause. Éliane Gubin (born in 1942) is a Belgian historian, researcher and professor of political history, political and social history, specializing in the history of women and feminism. In the late 1980s, she initiated the introduction of women's history at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), where she is Emeritus#In academia, professor emerita. She also teaches the history of contemporary Belgium and specializes in social history and political history of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century, including a re-reading of the World War I.
