Fabrice Herzog
Fabrice Herzog (born 9 December 1994) is a Swiss professional ice hockey forward currently playing for EV Zug in the National League (NL). He was drafted 142nd overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career As a youth, Herzog played local team Pikes EHC Oberthurgau before joining the junior program of EV Zug. In his second season of Elite Junior A, Herzog made his professional debut with EV Zug in the 2012–13 season, appearing in 20 games for 4 points. After his selection to the Maple Leafs in the off-season, Herzog opted to play major junior hockey in North America in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League after he was selected 42nd overall in the 2013 CHL Import Draft by the Québec Remparts. Herzog adapted quickly with the Remparts and was amongst the team's top scorers with 58 points in 61 games. The Switzerland men's national ice hockey team (; ; ) is a founding member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and is controlled by the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation. The 2012 IIHF U18 World Championship was the 14th IIHF World U18 Championship and was hosted in Brno, Znojmo and Břeclav, Czech Republic. It began on 12 April 2012 with the gold medal game played on 22 April 2012. Switzerland Men's National Junior Ice Hockey Team
The Switzerland men's national under 20 ice hockey team is the national under-20 ice hockey team of Switzerland. The team is controlled by the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation, a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. History Switzerland played its first game in 1977 against the Soviet Union during the 1978 IIHF World U20 Championship. Switzerland lost the game 1–18 and finished last in the tournament and were relegated to the Pool B tournament for the following year. 2024 IIHF World Championship
The 2024 IIHF World Championship was hosted by Czechia from 10 to 26 May 2024. It was held in Prague and Ostrava, and organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation. It was the most attended Hockey Championship in history with a total attendance of 797,727 spectators. Hosts Czechia won the title for the seventh time, beating Switzerland 2–0 in the final. Czechia ended their 14-year gold drought after winning it for the first time since 2010. It was the third title won on homesoil in the 21st century, after Sweden men's national ice hockey team, Sweden in 2013 and Finland men's national ice hockey team, Finland in 2022.
