English (2013 Film)
''English: An Autumn in London'' is a 2013 Indian Malayalam film written by Ajayan Venugopalan and directed by Shyamaprasad. A drama with slight tinges of black humour and satire, the film stars Jayasurya, Nivin Pauly, Mukesh, Nadia Moidu, Remya Nambeesan. The film is produced by Binu Dev under the banner of Navarang Screens and features music composed by Rex Vijayan, whilst cinematography is handled by Udayan Ambaadi and is edited by Vinod Sukumaran. The film tells the story of the lives of the Malayalees living in London. Plot The lives of five characters from diverse backgrounds whose passage to the U.K. and its aftermath are dealt with in the film. Shyamaprasad
Shyamaprasad (born 7 November 1960) is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter and actor from Kerala. Career Shyamaprasad was born on 7 November 1960 at Palakkad, as the younger son of O. Rajagopal and Santhakumari. He was named after Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of Bharatiya Jan Sangh. He did his schooling at Basel Evangelical Mission Higher Secondary School, Palakkad. After completing his degree in Theatre Arts from the School of Drama and Fine Arts, Thrissur, Calicut University, Shyamaprasad received the Commonwealth Scholarship in 1989 and did his Master in Media Production at the Hull University, England. He worked as an intern at the BBC and Channel 4, to Indian television and redefined the parameters of telefilms and documentaries in Malayalam Television with Doordarshan. Varada Sethu
Varada Sethu (born 1992) is an Indian-born British actress, best known for playing DS Mishal Ali in the BBC apocalyptic TV Series '' Hard Sun''. She has also featured in ''Now You See Me 2'' as the assistant to Michael Caine’s character. Early life Varada Sethu and her twin sister, Abhaya, were born in Kerala, India. Sethu's parents were both doctors. Having moved to the North East of England at a young age, she grew up in Newcastle upon Tyne. Sethu attended Dame Allan’s Schools and was a member of the National Youth Theatre. During her final year of sixth form, Sethu won the 2010 ''Miss Newcastle'' competition. ''Akkarakkaazhchakal'' (Malayalam: അക്കരക്കാഴ്ച്ചകൾ) is a Malayalam language Indian sitcom that aired on Kairali TV from 2008 to 2010. The series consisted of fifty episodes which chronicled the lives of a middle-class Malayali family settled in the United States . The show was created by Abi Varghese and Ajayan Venugopalan and starred relative newcomers as the leads.
