Europeana
Europeana is a web portal created by the European Union containing digitised cultural heritage collections of more than 3,000 institutions across Europe. It includes records of over 50 million cultural and scientific artefacts, brought together on a single platform and presented in a variety of ways relevant to modern users. The prototype for Europeana was the European Digital Library Network (EDLnet), launched in 2008. The Europeana Foundation is the governing body of the service, and is incorporated under Dutch law as Stichting Europeana. History Europeana had its beginnings after a letter was jointly sent in April 2005 by Jacques Chirac, President of France, and the premiers of Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland and Hungary to the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Durão Barroso. Martina Bagnoli
Martina Bagnoli (born 1964) is an Italian art historian and curator. She is the director of the Gallerie Estensi and chair of the Europeana Foundation. Previously, from 2002 to 2015, Bagnoli was curator of medieval art for the Walters Art Museum in Maryland, United States. Biography Bagnoli was born in Bolzano, Italy. She was educated at Downing College, Cambridge, where she earned a BA in art history (1987) and an MA (1991). She completed her PhD at the Johns Hopkins University in 1999. Bagnoli joined the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland as assistant curator in 2002. She organised exhibitions such as ''Treasures of Heaven'' (2011) and ''A Feast for the Senses'' (2017) and ended her tenure as the Andrew W. Mellon Curator and head of the museum's collection of medieval art and manuscripts. Around this time she also worked for the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. The Museo del Prado ( ; ), officially known as Museo Nacional del Prado, is the main Spanish national art museum, located in central Madrid. De Doelen
De Doelen is a concert venue and convention centre in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It was originally built in 1934 but then destroyed in 1940 during the German bombardment of Rotterdam in May 1940 at the outset of World War II. It was rebuilt in 1966, originally with one hall to which two more were added in the 1990s. It has a variety of facilities, including the Grote Zaal (Grand Hall), a 2,200-seat concert hall, two smaller halls which each seat about 700 people, and convention rooms. Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart is the former Train station#Terminus, terminus of the Berlin–Hamburg Railway in Berlin, Germany, on Invalidenstrasse in the Moabit district opposite the Charité hospital.
