Elias Ayuban
Elias Lumayog Ayuban Jr. (born January 1, 1968) is a Filipino prelate of the Catholic Church. He is the second Bishop of Cubao since December 2024, succeeding Honesto Ongtioco. He is a priest of the religious order commonly known as the Claretians, formally the Congregation of Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Early life and education Bishop Ayuban was born on January 1, 1968 on Mindanao in the town of Parang then in the historical province of Cotabato, now Maguindanao del Norte. He studied philosophy at the Saint Anthony Mary Claret College and theology at the Ateneo de Manila University, both in Quezon City. In 2003, he received a doctorate in canon law from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome. Ministry Priesthood Ayuban gave his religious vows on July 16, 1995. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Cubao (Latin: ''Dioecesis Cubaoensis'') is a diocese of the western Latin Church of the Catholic Church in district of Cubao in Quezon City, in northern Metro Manila, Philippines. The diocese was created by Pope John Paul II on June 28, 2003 from the ecclesiastical district of Cubao of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila. Tungawan, officially the Municipality of Tungawan (; Chavacano: ''Municipalidad de Tungawan''; ), is a municipality in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, Philippines.
