Donatello (singer)
Giuliano Illiani (born 11 September 1947), best known as Donatello, is an Italian singer, mainly successful in the first half of the 1970s. Background Born in Tortona, Illiani started his musical career as a member of the band Wanted’s between 1962 and 1966. In 1968 he became guitarist in the Gianni Morandi's backing band. In 1970 Illiani adopted the stage name Donatello and entered the competition at the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Io mi fermo qui", presented in a double performance with the band Dik Dik. The same year Donatello got his first commercial success with the song "Malattia d'amore" which charted tenth on the Italian hit parade. Between 1971 and 1973 he entered the main competition at the Sanremo Music Festival three more times, always being a finalist. Nada (Italian Singer)
Nada (born Nada Malanima November 17, 1953 in Gabbro ( it), Rosignano Marittimo, Province of Livorno) is an Italian singer. She was nicknamed ''Il pulcino del Gabbro'' (''the little chick of Gabbro''). Career Nada's début occurred at the age of fifteen at the 1969 Sanremo Music Festival with the song '' Ma che freddo fa'', which gave her a sudden success, also with the Spanish language version ''Hace frío ya''. The following year she participated in the festival again, singing ''Pa' diglielo a ma together with Ron. She also took part in Canzonissima, a popular TV programme, with ''Che male fa la gelosia''. In 1971 she won the Sanremo Music Festival with '' Il cuore è uno zingaro'', together with Nicola Di Bari, obtaining notable international success. Tortona
Tortona (; pms, Torton-a , ; lat, Dhertona) is a '' comune'' of Piemonte, in the Province of Alessandria, Italy. Tortona is sited on the right bank of the Scrivia between the plain of Marengo and the foothills of the Ligurian Apennines. History Known in ancient times as Dertona, the city was probably the oldest colony under Roman rule in the westernmost section of the Valley of the Po, on the road leading from Genua (Genoa) to Placentia (Piacenza). The city was founded c. 123–118 BC at the junction of the great roads; the Via Postumia and the Via Aemilia Scauri which merged to become the Via Julia Augusta. Gianni Morandi
Gianni Morandi (; born 11 December 1944) is an Italian pop singer, actor and entertainer. Early life Gian Luigi Morandi was born in a little village called Monghidoro on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. His father Renato was active within the Italian Communist Party and Gianni used to help him sell the party newspapers. At an early age Morandi worked as a shoe-shiner, cobbler and as a vendor of sweets in the village's only cinema. His vocal abilities led him to a number of small gigs, some of which were during the Communist Party's activities.
