Don Manzullo
Donald Anthony Manzullo (born March 24, 1944) is an American businessman and politician who served as the U.S. representative for , from 1993 to 2013. He is a member of the Republican Party. From 2001 to 2007 he served as Chairman of the Committee on Small Business, and from January 2011 to January 2013 he served as Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific. He was defeated in the 2012 Republican Primary on March 20, 2012. Manzullo served as the president and CEO of the Korea Economic Institute between 2012 and 2018. Early life, education, and law career Don Manzullo was born in Rockford, Illinois and attended Auburn High School, graduating in 1962. Illinois's 11th Congressional District
The 11th congressional district of Illinois is represented by Democrat Bill Foster. Geographic boundaries 2011 redistricting From 1865 to 1867, the district included Bureau, LaSalle, Livingston and Woodford counties. From 1901 until 1947 the 11th congressional district included Kane, DuPage, McHenry and Will Counties. Collar Counties
Collar counties is a colloquialism for DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties, the five counties of Illinois that border Cook County, which is home to Chicago. The collar counties are part of the Chicago metropolitan area and comprise many of the area's suburbs. After Cook County, the collar counties are also the next five most populous counties in Illinois. According to the ''Encyclopedia of Chicago'', there is no specifically known origin of the phrase, but it has been commonly used among policy makers, urban planners, and in the media. McHenry County, Illinois
McHenry County is a county located in the U.S. state of Illinois. According to the 2020 Census, it had a population of 310,229, making it the sixth-most populous county in Illinois. Freeport is the county seat and largest city of Stephenson County, Illinois, United States. The population was 23,973 at the 2020 census, and the mayor of Freeport is Jodi Miller, elected in 2017. Barrington Hills is a village located about northwest of Chicago in the U.S. state of Illinois. Per the 2020 census, the population was 4,114. It straddles approximately over four counties, Cook, Kane, Lake, and McHenry. The Village of Barrington Hills was incorporated in 1957. The suburban village is included in the greater Barrington area. Many very affluent residents live on large estates and commute to downtown Chicago. Jack Schaffer
Jack Schaffer (born October 12, 1942) is an American politician and businessman. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Schaffer served in the United States Army. He received his bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University. He owned an outdoor advertising business and a self-storage business in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Schaffer was county auditor for McHenry County, Illinois from 1968 to 1972. From 1973 to 1999, he served in the Illinois State Senate as a Republican. As state senator, Schaffer served as caucus chairman, minority whip and minority leader. In 1992, Schaffer ran for Congress in Illinois's 16th congressional district, against Don Manzullo.
