The Dialogue Party () is a political party in Argentina founded in 2015 by Emilio Monzó, as a split from Republican Proposal (PRO). The party now forms part of the Juntos por el Cambio coalition, alongside PRO. It is presently a provincial party, as it is only registered in Buenos Aires Province. Emilio Monzó
Emilio Monzó (born 26 September 1965) is an Argentine lawyer and politician who served as President of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies from 2015 to 2019. In 2015, he founded the Dialogue Party, which is affiliated with Republican Proposal (PRO) and forms part of the Juntos por el Cambio coalition. He was born in Carlos Tejedor, Buenos Aires Province and studied law at the University of Buenos Aires. He began his political activism in the 1980s in the Union of the Democratic Center, later switching to the Justicialist Party. In 2011 he joined Republican Proposal and worked at the successful 2015 presidential campaign of Mauricio Macri. The Honorable Senate of the Argentine Nation () is the upper house of the National Congress of Argentina. Overview The National Senate was established by the Argentine Confederation on July 29, 1854, pursuant to Articles 46 to 54 of the 1853 Constitution. There are 72 members: three for each province and three for the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The number of senators per province was raised from two to three following the 1994 amendment of the Argentine Constitution as well as the addition of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires' senators. 2021 Argentine Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Argentina on 14 November 2021. Half of the seats in the Chamber of Deputies and a third of the seats in the Senate were renewed. The election had previously been scheduled to take place on 24 October 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Argentina. Open, Simultaneous and Mandatory Primaries (PASO) were previously scheduled to take place on 8 August 2021, but took place on 12 September 2021, having also been postponed due to COVID-19. There were proposals, backed by the ruling Frente de Todos, to scrap the primaries altogether due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The proposals were opposed by the Juntos por el Cambio opposition. Buenos Aires, officially the Buenos Aires Province, is the largest and most populous Provinces of Argentina, Argentine province. Republican Proposal (), usually referred to by its abbreviation PRO, is a political party in Argentina. PRO was formed as an electoral alliance in 2005, but was transformed into a national party in 2010. The Chamber of Deputies (), officially the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation, is the lower house of the Argentine National Congress (). La Plata () is the capital city of Buenos Aires province, Argentina. Juntos Por El Cambio
(JxC, ) was a political coalition in Argentina. A liberal coalition, it was created in 2015 as Cambiemos (), and renamed in 2019. It was composed of Republican Proposal, Radical Civic Union, Civic Coalition ARI and United Republicans. These three parties respectively nominated Mauricio Macri, Ernesto Sanz, and Elisa Carrió as their representatives in the August 2015 primary elections, which were held to choose which candidate would run in the 2015 presidential election on 25 October.
