Claude Engle
Claude R. Engle III is an American electrical engineer and internationally known lighting consultant, who has designed lighting schemes for many notable structures including the Reichstag building, Reichstag and the Louvre. Life Engle attended Princeton University, attaining a BSEE in 1960. He is a Registered Professional Engineer. Prior to entering private practice he worked in New York City in the design of theatrical and television lighting. Engle is past chairman of the Capital Section of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and was a member of the faculty at Princeton University School of Architecture and Urban Planning. He has been a judge of the IES National Lighting Competition and a member of the American Institute of Architects Jury for interior design for Houston, Texas and Los Angeles. Holy Name Cathedral, Chicago
Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago, Illinois is the seat of the Archdiocese of Chicago, one of the largest Roman Catholic dioceses in the United States. The current Archbishop of Chicago is Cardinal Blase J. Cupich. Dedicated on November 21, 1875, Holy Name Cathedral replaced the Cathedral of Saint Mary and the Church of the Holy Name, which were destroyed by the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. A cornerstone inscription still bears faint indications of bullet marks from the murder of North Side Gang member Hymie Weiss, who was killed in front of the church (at the edge of the street, roughly a foot or two south of where the cornerstone is) on October 11, 1926. Temple Beth El, also known as Temple Beth-El, is a Reform synagogue currently located in Bloomfield Township, Michigan, United States. Beth El was founded in 1850 in the city of Detroit, and is the oldest Jewish congregation in Michigan. In 1982, its two former buildings in Detroit, at 3424 and 8801 Woodward Avenue, were listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
