Christopher Y. Lew
Christopher Y. Lew is an American art curator and writer based in New York City. Lew is currently the Nancy and Fred Poses Curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Career Curating Before taking his job at the Whitney in 2014, Lew had held positions at MoMA PS1 starting in 2006. At MoMA PS1, he organized numerous exhibitions including ''Chim Pom'', Clifford Owens: ''Anthology'', and Nancy Grossman: ''Heads'' (with Klaus Biesenbach), as well as projects by Edgard Aragón, Rey Akdogan, Ilja Karilampi, James Ferraro, and Caitlin Keogh. Additionally, Lew has curated exhibitions and programs in New York City at other venues such as Artists Space and Aljira. Jared Madere
Jared Madere (born July 11, 1986, New York City) is an American contemporary artist and curator who lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Early life Madere was born in New York City, New York, in 1986. Kevin Beasley
Kevin Beasley (born 1985 Lynchburg, Virginia) is an American artist working in sculpture, performance art, and sound installation. He lives and works in New York City. Beasley was included in the Whitney Museum of American Art's Biennial in 2014 and MoMA PS1's Greater New York exhibition in 2015. Education and early life Kevin Beasley was born in Lynchburg, Virginia. He received a BFA from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan in 2007 and an MFA from Yale in 2012. Work Beasley is known for sculpture that incorporates found materials - especially clothing - and casting materials like resin and foam. While these materials cure or set into their final state, Beasley works them with his body, a process that points to his interest in sculpture that traces of the artist's body while retaining a bodily, fleshy quality of its own. Whitney Biennial
The Whitney Biennial is a biennial exhibition of contemporary American art, typically by young and lesser known artists, on display at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, United States. The event began as an annual exhibition in 1932; the first biennial was in 1973. Eckhaus Latta is an American fashion brand. The brand is known for their use of unexpected materials, exploring texture and tactility in their designs, and for incorporating writing, performance, and video into their practice. Jane Panetta is a New York-based curator and art historian. Panetta is currently an Associate Curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
