Blue (English Band)
Blue are an English boy band consisting of members Simon Webbe, Duncan James, Antony Costa and Lee Ryan. The group formed in 2000 and released three studio albums before announcing a hiatus In late 2004. In January 2011 the group reformed and United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest, represented the United Kingdom at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf with the song "I Can (Blue song), I Can", coming in 11th place with 100 points. In 2013 it was confirmed that the group would be joining ''The Big Reunion'', in which six groups from the past (including Liberty X, Atomic Kitten and five (group), 5ive) reform for a one-off gig. On 27 March 2013, the group announced they would embark on their first headlining tour later on in the year, their first tour in nearly ten years. Liberty X
Liberty X (originally called Liberty) are a British-Irish group originally consisting of Michelle Heaton, Tony Lundon, Kevin Simm, Jessica Taylor and Kelli Young. The group was formed by the five finalists of the 2001 ITV talent show '' Popstars'' who failed to make it into the winning group Hear'Say. In 2013 Liberty X's full members returned for the ITV2 documentary series '' The Big Reunion'' and toured until 2014. Since 2017, Heaton, Taylor and Young have performed as a girls trio. The group released their debut album, '' Thinking It Over'', on 27 May 2002 which featured their biggest single " Just a Little", which gave them international success. They released their second studio album ''Being Somebody'' a year later on 3 November 2003, although not matching the success of their debut. Daniel Glatman
Daniel Glatman (born 27 June 1975) is an English people, English pop music, pop Talent manager#Music managers, music manager, best known for co-creating and managing the boy band Blue (English band), Blue. Among the artists he has represented are the Fron Male Voice Choir, signed in 2006 after Glatman heard them perform at a wedding. Glatman persuaded Decca Records to sign them before Masterminding the fastest selling Classical record of all time. He also signed the Regimental Band of the Coldstream Guards (after happening upon them whilst rehearsing for Trooping of the colour at Horseguards on his way to a meeting).which released their first album, Heroes with Universal's Decca Label. ''Pop Idol'' is a British music competition television series created by Simon Fuller which ran on ITV from 2001 to 2003. The aim of the show was to decide the best new young pop singer (or "pop idol") in the UK based on viewer voting and participation. Two series were broadcast, one in 2001–2002 and a second in 2003. Pop Idol (series 1)
The first series of British reality television show ''Pop Idol'' was broadcast on ITV in the United Kingdom during the winter months of 2001 and 2002. The show was a singing competition open to people aged between 16 and 26 years old, with the winner receiving a £1 million recording contract to release their debut album. ''Pop Idol'' received ratings of as high as 10 million viewers for shows before the live final. Auditions were held during the early months and summer of 2001 in various locations across the United Kingdom. Selected acts were broadcast on a series of audition programmes in October 2001. Will Young
William Robert Young (born 20 January 1979) is a British singer-songwriter and actor who came to prominence after winning the 2002 inaugural series of the ITV talent contest '' Pop Idol'', making him the first winner of the worldwide '' Idol'' franchise. His double A-sided debut single " Anything Is Possible" / "Evergreen" was released two weeks after the show's finale and became the fastest-selling debut single in the UK. Young also came in fifth place in '' World Idol'' performing the single " Light My Fire" written by the band the Doors.
