Byrrill Creek
The Byrrill Creek is a perennial stream located in Northern Rivers region in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is the namesake of the locality of the same name. Course and features Byrrill Creek rises below Bar Mountain on the eastern slopes of the Tweed Range, near Byrrill Creek, and flows generally northeast, and then east, before reaching its confluence with the Tweed River near Terragon. The river descends over its course. In 2007, the federal government proposed damming the Rous River, Oxley River and Byrill Creek. Local opposition to the plan was formed via the ''Save the Caldera Rivers Campaign'', in an effort to stop the proposed dams from being built. Rous River
Rous River, a perennial river of the Tweed River catchment, is located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. Course and features Rous River rises below Mount Hobwee on the southern slopes of the McPherson Range, near Numinbah on the New South Wales-Queensland border, and flows generally east by south, and then east, joined by four minor tributaries, before reaching its confluence with the Tweed River at Tumbulgum, northeast of Murwillumbah. A stream is a continuous body of surface water flowing within the bed and banks of a channel. Tweed Range
The Tweed Range is a mountain range which is the western extension of the Tweed Volcano caldera rim, part of the Scenic Rim of the Great Dividing Range, located in northern New South Wales, near the southeastern border of Queensland, in Australia. Location and features The range marks the southern extent of the Scenic Rim. The Bar Mountain massif is the highest point on the range, rising to above sea level.
