Azour
Azour (also spelled Aazour) is a village in Lebanon, located from Sidon and south of Beirut. It is 830 meters above sea level. Azour's area stretches for 263 hectares (2.63 km²; 1.01518 mi²). The municipality of Azour is located in the Kaza of Jezzine, one of the eight mohafazats (governorates) of Lebanon. Naguib Azoury
Naguib Azoury or Negib Azoury ( ar, نجيب عازوري; transliteration, Nagīb ʿĀzūrī; was a Maronite Christian who espoused Arab nationalist ideals, most notably in the book ''Le réveil de la nation arabe''. Early life and education The details of Azoury's birth are uncertain. According to one source, Azoury was born around 1873 in the village of Azour. He studied in Paris at l’Ecole des sciences politiques and later studied at the Ottoman civil service school in Constantinople. In 1898, Azoury began administration work in Jerusalem, serving as an Ottoman official for several years. Activities after Jerusalem In May 1904, following a conflict with his brother-in-law and Jerusalem's Mutasarrif Kazim Bey, Azoury went to Cairo and condemned the mutasarrif in the newspaper ''al-Ikhlas''. Jezzin
Jezzine ( ''Jizzīn'') is a town in Lebanon, located from Sidon and south of Beirut. It is the capital of Jezzine District. Surrounded by mountain peaks, pine forests (like the Bkassine Pine Forest), and at an average altitude of 950 m (3,117 ft), it is the main summer resort and tourist destination of South Lebanon. Crocker & Brewster
Crocker & Brewster (1818–1876) was a leading publishing house in Boston, Massachusetts, during its 58-year existence. The business was located at today's 173–175 Washington Street for nearly half a century; in 1864 it moved to the adjoining building, where it remained until the firm's dissolution. Background The firm was founded by Uriel Crocker and Osmyn Brewster, with the participation of their earlier employer, Samuel Turell Armstrong, later mayor of Boston and acting governor of the Commonwealth. Family Name
