Andy Caldwell
Andy Caldwell is an American electronic house music DJ and producer. Caldwell became known through the San Francisco House scene in the early part of the 2000s; first as a member of the live House act Soulstice, and later as a solo artist. Caldwell has released his music via Om Records, followed most recently with releases on his own label, Uno Recordings. The Wolfgang Gartner remix of Caldwell's track "Funk Nasty" was nominated for a Grammy in 2011 under the "Best Remix" category. Uno Recordings Caldwell is founder, CEO, and sole proprietor of Uno Recordings, which has operated since 2004. Besides releasing his own music, Caldwell has signed artists like Behrouz, Gina René, Mei-Lwun, Soulstice, Tom Flynn, Wolfgang Gartner, and Yoshimoto. House Music
House is a music genre characterized by a repetitive Four on the floor (music), four-on-the-floor beat and a typical tempo of 120 beats per minute. It was created by Disc jockey, DJs and music producers from Chicago metropolitan area, Chicago's underground Clubbing (subculture), club culture in the late 1970s, as DJs began altering disco songs to give them a more mechanical beat. A remix (or reorchestration) is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, or changing pieces of the item. Delerium
Delerium is a Canadian new-age ambient electronic musical duo that formed in 1987, originally as a side project of the influential industrial music act Front Line Assembly. Throughout the band’s history, their musical style has encompassed a broad range, including dark ethereal ambient trance, voiceless industrial soundscapes, and electronic pop music. Sing It Back
"Sing It Back" is a song written and performed by Irish-English electronic music duo Moloko (Róisín Murphy and Mark Brydon). It first appeared in its original version on Moloko's second album, '' I Am Not a Doctor'' (1998); it was released as a single on 8 March 1999, reaching number 45 on the UK Singles Chart. The song experienced chart success after it was remixed by DJ Boris Dlugosch, peaking at number four in the UK in September 1999. Murphy had started writing the lyrics while clubbing in New York City, and knew the song was at heart a dance track, but the group wanted to record it in a different artistic fashion for its album version. Together with their record company they had commissioned mixes by Todd Terry (who had turned Everything But the Girl's "Missing" into an international club anthem).
