Aleksandar Janković
Aleksandar Janković (Serbian Cyrillic: Александар Јанковић; born 6 May 1972) is a Serbian football coach and former football player. He is currently manager of the China national under-23 football team. Playing career He played football professionally for his hometown club Red Star Belgrade and FK Napredak Kruševac in Serbia, Bonnyrigg White Eagles Football Club (under the name of Sasha Jankovic) in Australia, AS Cherbourg Football and Pau FC in France, and Kansas City Wizards in the United States, before ending his playing career aged 28, due to a knee injury. Coaching career While playing at Pau FC, Janković met his compatriot, coach Slavoljub Muslin who would turn out to be an important figure for his eventual venture into coaching. Serbian Cyrillic
The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet ( sr, / , ) is a variation of the Cyrillic script used to write the Serbian language, updated in 1818 by Serbian linguist Vuk Karadžić. It is one of the two alphabets used to write standard modern Serbian, the other being Gaj's Latin alphabet. Karadžić based his alphabet on the previous Slavonic-Serbian script, following the principle of "write as you speak and read as it is written", removing obsolete letters and letters representing iotified vowels, introducing from the Latin alphabet instead, and adding several consonant letters for sounds specific to Serbian phonology. During the same period, linguists led by Ljudevit Gaj adapted the Latin alphabet, in use in western South Slavic areas, using the same principles. The 2001–02 UEFA Champions League was the 47th season of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA's premier club football tournament, and the 10th since its rebranding from the "European Champion Clubs' Cup" or "European Cup". The tournament was won by Real Madrid, who beat Bayer Leverkusen in the final to claim their ninth European Cup title. The 2001–02 First League of FR Yugoslavia was the tenth and last full season of the FR Yugoslavia's top-level football league since its establishment. It was contested by 18 teams, and Partizan won the championship. Teams Budućnost Podgorica, Napredak Kruševac, Radnički Niš, and Milicionar, were relegated to the Second League of FR Yugoslavia. FK Obilić
Fudbalski klub Obilić ( Serbian Cyrillic: Фудбалски клуб Обилић) is a Serbian football club based in Vračar, a neighbourhood of Belgrade. It was named after medieval Serbian hero Miloš Obilić, a legendary 14th-century knight. In its long history, Obilić Belgrade's most notable success occurred in 1998, when it became only the third club since the breakup of Yugoslavia to win the national league, winning the 1997–98 season. Ratko Dostanić
Ratko Dostanić (; born 25 October 1959) is a Serbian former professional footballer who played as a defender and current manager of Zeta. Playing career After coming through the youth system of Partizan, Dostanić went on to play for Timok and Rad in the Yugoslav Second League, before moving abroad to France in 1986. He played for Bourges (1986–87), Caen (1987–88), Le Mans (1988–90), Rodez (1990–92), Red Star (1992–94), Châtellerault (1994–95) and Montluçon (1995–96). Managerial career After serving as an assistant to Slavoljub Muslin at Red Star Belgrade, Dostanić was appointed as manager of fellow First League of FR Yugoslavia contender Obilić in November 2000. The 2000–01 First League of FR Yugoslavia was the ninth season of the FR Yugoslavia's top-level football league since its establishment. It was contested by 18 teams, and Red Star Belgrade won the championship. Incidents Eternal derby abandoned The 115th edition of the Eternal derby match between Red Star Belgrade and FK Partizan on Saturday, 14 October 2000 at the Marakana was abandoned after three minutes of play due to fan rioting. The incident began with Partizan fans, Grobari, pelting the pitch with flares at which point the match play got interrupted. The rioting kept escalating with the southern stand seating being torn off by the Grobari and thrown onto the athletic track. At one point, the team captain Saša Ilić was seen in front of the stand pleading to no avail with the Partizan ultra supporters to stop rioting. Slavoljub Muslin
Slavoljub Muslin ( sr-Cyrl, Славољуб Муслин, ; born 15 June 1953) is a Serbian football manager and former player. Muslin began his head coaching career in 1988 and has since had stints in France, Morocco, Serbia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Belgium, Cyprus, Belarus, Russia and Saudi Arabia. As a player, he played as a defender for several clubs, the most important being Red Star Belgrade and later Lille OSC. Muslin qualified for the 2018 World Cup with the Serbian national team although he was sacked before the final tournament. Fudbalski klub Napredak Kruševac (), commonly known as Napredak Kruševac, is a Serbian professional football club based in the city of Kruševac. The word ''Napredak'' means "progress" in Serbian.
