Adrian Matei (footballer)
Adrian Matei (born 29 February 1968) is a former Romanian football player. Matei is one of the few footballers that played for the three great squads in Bucharest, Rapid, Dinamo and Steaua. After he ended his playing career, Matei became a football manager but also embraced a television pundit career, working for Sport.ro. Besides football, Matei owns a restaurant in Bucharest. Bucharest ( , ; ro, București ) is the capital and largest city of Romania, as well as its cultural, industrial, and financial centre. CS Unirea Tărlungeni
CS Unirea Tărlungeni was a Romanian football club based originally in Tărlungeni, Brașov County and for a short period in Ștefăneștii de Jos, Ilfov County, which last played in the Liga II. History CS Unirea Tărlungeni was founded in 1983 and was assigned to Division C (later Liga III). In 2010, the team was taken over by former player of Unirea Urziceni, László Balint. After 40 seasons in the third echelon in 2013 Tărlungeni Unirea finished the season first in the sixth series of this competition and promoted the first in Liga II. 1989–90 Cupa României
The 1989–90 Cupa României was the 52nd edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by Dinamo București against Steaua București. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. If a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes in extra time, if the scored is still tight after 120 minutes, then the winner will be established at penalty kicks. Cupa României
The Cupa României ( en, Romanian Cup) is a football cup competition for Romanian teams which has been held annually since 1933–34, except during World War II. It is the country's main cup competition, being open to all clubs affiliated with the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) and the county football associations regardless of the league they belong to. Currently, the winner of the competition is granted a place in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers and plays the Supercupa României. Most finals have been held at the Stadionul Național (formerly known as "23 August"), and occasionally at other stadiums in Bucharest. The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top Romanian football league system, football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table.
