Attila Valter
Attila Valter (born 12 June 1998 in Csömör) is a Hungarian cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . In 2019 Valter joined the , having ridden for the Pannon Cycling Team the previous year. At the 2019 Tour de l'Avenir he won the ninth stage to Tignes. For the 2020 season Valter turned professional for the senior . That year he won the Tour of Hungary, having finished third in the general classification the previous year. Valter was the first Hungarian winner of the race since 2005. In October 2020, he was named in the startlist for the 2020 Giro d'Italia, making his Grand Tour debut. Valter joined for the 2021 season. At the 2021 Giro d'Italia, he took the overall lead after the sixth stage to San Giacomo, becoming the first Hungarian rider to wear the pink jersey. Csömör
Csömör () is a village in the Gödöllő District in Pest county, Hungary. It lies in the Budapest metropolitan area, north of the 16th district of Budapest and west of Kistarcsa, on the western part of the Gödöllő hills, in the turning of the Csömör stream. It has a population of 9,971 (2020). History Ceramic pieces were found from the New Stone Age (3200–3000 BC) in the area of the ''Urasági-tag,'' the ''Bab-földek'' (bean fields) and the ''Rét-pótlék.'' Ceramic pieces were found from the Bronze Age (1900–1800 BC) on the area of the ''Urasági-tag'' and the ''Szeder-völgyi-dűlő''. On the 64 Erzsébet Street were found troves from the Vatyai Culture (1700–1400 BC). A Celtic cemetery was dug out behind the strand, which is from the Iron Age (380–300 BC). Between the troves there are bracelets, fibulas, chiffons, a scabbard with sword, and chain. Grand Tour (cycling)
In road bicycle racing, a Grand Tour is one of the three major European professional cycling stage races: Giro d'Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta a España. Collectively they are termed the ''Grand Tours'', and all three races are similar in format, being three-week races with daily stages. They have a special status in the UCI regulations: more points for the UCI World Tour are distributed in Grand Tours than in other races, and they are the only stage races allowed to last longer than 14 days. All three races have a substantial history, with the Tour de France first held in 1903, Giro d'Italia first held in 1909 and the Vuelta a España first held in 1935. The Giro is generally run in May, the Tour in July, and the Vuelta in late August and September. 2019 Tour De Hongrie
The 2019 Tour de Hongrie was the 40th edition of the Tour de Hongrie, between 11 and 16 June 2019. It was the fifth edition of the revival in 2015, and was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2019 UCI Europe Tour. The race was won by Krists Neilands (), who became the first Latvian rider to win the Tour de Hongrie. The Bałtyk–Karkonosze Tour is a cycling race in West Poland that runs between the Baltic Sea and the Karkonosze. The first edition was held in 1993 as an amateur race as the Karkonosze Tour with stages in the Wałbrzych Voivodeship and Jelenia Góra Voivodeship. In 1996, the race became professional. In 1997, it adopted the current North–South route. The 2018 European Road Cycling Championships was the 24th running of the European Road Cycling Championships, and took place from 12 to 15 July 2018 in Brno, Czech Republic for the under-23 and junior events, and from 5 to 9 August 2018 in Glasgow, United Kingdom for the elite events.
