Anton Ullrich
Johannes Anton Ullrich (1826–1895) was a German industrialist, inventor, and co-founder of the "Gebrüder Ullrich" in the Rhineland-Palatinate. Life Anton Ullrich was born on the 30 August 1826 in the small village of Maikammer, Germany. He was the youngest son of an international merchant, Leonhard Ullrich, and his wife Regina Damm. Anton Ullrich worked in his father's store, before founding the "Gebrüder Ullrich" with his younger brother Franz Ullrich. In 1851 Anton Ullrich invented the folding ruler, and in 1887 obtained the patent for the springed hinge of the folding ruler. The "Gebrüder Ullrich" company expanded quickly and later built another factory site in the neighbouring village of Kirrweiler. Rhineland-Palatinate

Maikammer
Maikammer ( pfl, Maikomma) is a municipality in the Südliche Weinstraße district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the German Wine Route, approx. 5 km south of Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Maikammer is the seat of the ''Verbandsgemeinde'' Maikammer. Geography Location Maikammer lies at elevations from 120 to 300 m at the foot of the Kalmit, the highest mountain in the Palatine Forest (673 m), in a landscape dominated by vineyards. Franz Ullrich
Franz Ullrich (1830–1891) was a German industrialist, and co-founder of the "Gebrüder Ullrich" in the Rhineland-Palatinate. Life Franz Ullrich was born on the 22 July 1830 in the small town of Maikammer, Germany. He was the youngest son of an international merchant, Leonhard Ullrich, and his wife Regina Damm. After studying banking in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse for four years, he founded a company with his older brother, Anton Ullrich, Anton, called the "Gebrüder Ullrich". Together they built up an enameling factory in Maikammer. In 1855 the two Ullrich brothers purchased machinery from the Exposition Universelle (1855), Exposition Universelle in Paris to be used in the factory. Annweiler am Trifels (), or Annweiler is a town in the Südliche Weinstraße district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the river Queich, 12 km west of Landau. Annweiler am Trifels station is on the Landau–Saarbrücken railway. Annweiler is situated in the Southern part of the Palatinate forest called the Wasgau, and is surrounded by high hills which yield a famous red sandstone. The town's main industry is tourism.
