Ansar Ibrahim (born 25 February 1995), nicknamed Anko, is a Maldivian professional footballer who plays for Dhivehi League side Eagles FC and the Maldives national team. He is an attacking midfielder. He was born in Thulhaadhoo, Maldives. He made his debut for the Maldives national football team in 2015. Baa Atoll
Baa Atoll (includes Southern Maalhosmadulu Atoll or Maalhosmadulu Dhekunuburi, Fasdhūtherē Atoll, and Goifulhafehendhu Atoll) is an administrative division of the Maldives. It consists of three separate natural atolls, namely southern Maalhosmadulu Atoll (which is 42 km long and 32 km wide and consists of 9 inhabited islands), the Fasdūtherē Atoll (wedged in between the two Maalhosmadulu Atolls and separated from north Maalhosmasdulu Atoll by Hani Kandu or Moresby Channel) and the smaller natural atoll known as Goifulhafehendhu Atoll (Horsburgh Atoll in the Admiralty charts). Dhivehi League was a former Maldivian association football league, organized by the Football Association of Maldives. Every year, 8 teams competed in the league, which was the top level in the Maldivian football league system. Format Dhivehi League consists of 3 rounds of teams that play a round robin format, which means that each team plays each other twice; once at home and once as visitor. Thulhaadhoo (Dhivehi: ތުޅާދޫ) is one of the inhabited islands of Baa Atoll. History The island has been reclaimed by the government recently. The island is famous for its lacquer work. The Maldives national Under-23 football team, also known as Maldives Under-23s or Maldives U23(s), is considered to be the feeder team for the Maldives national football team, and is controlled by the Football Association of Maldives.
