Mads Østberg
Mads Østberg (born 11 October 1987) is a Norway, Norwegian Rallying, rally driver. His co-driver is Torstein Eriksen. Career Østberg competed in his first rally in 2004. His first World Rally Championship event was the 2006 Swedish Rally, in which he finished 31st in his Subaru Impreza WRC, Subaru Impreza WRC 2003. In the 2006 World Rally Championship season, 2006 season, he competed in two more WRC rallies; retiring at the Rally Finland and finishing 23rd at the Wales Rally GB. In the 2007 World Rally Championship season, 2007 season, Østberg continued with an Impreza WRC 2005 and competed in six world rallies for the Prodrive-supported Adapta team. 2007 Monte Carlo Rally
The 2007 Monte Carlo Rally (formally known as the ) was a rallying autosports race held over four days between and , and operated out of , France. It was the first race of the 2007 World Rally Championship (WRC) season. Contested over fifteen stages at a length of , Sébastien Loeb won the race for the Citroën Total World Rally Team. Dani Sordo finished second in the other Citroën works car, with Marcus Grönholm finishing third in a Ford. Loeb, driving an all new Citroën C4 WRC car which had been in development throughout 2006, took control of the race from the outset, winning the two stages on the first day and four more stages over the following three days. 2007 World Rally Championship Season
The 2007 World Rally Championship was the 35th season in the FIA World Rally Championship. The season began on 19 January, with the Monte Carlo Rally and ended on 2 December, with the Wales Rally GB. Citroën's Sébastien Loeb won his fourth consecutive drivers' world championship ahead of Ford's Marcus Grönholm and Mikko Hirvonen. 2006 Rally Australia
The 2006 Telstra Rally Australia was the fourteenth round of the 2006 World Rally Championship season. It took place between 26 and 29 October 2006. Report Ford's Mikko Hirvonen won the rally, taking his first victory of his career. His teammate Marcus Grönholm was only the Fifth to mathematically give the world championship to Sébastien Loeb, who was out of this race due to injury. Grönholm hit a rock, resulting in him losing eleven minutes and falling to 55th place. In order to maintain his chances for the championship, Grönholm had to rise to at least third place, but he was only able to collect four points, so Loeb, who witnessed the rally from home, celebrated the championship with two more races left. The 2006 Rally of Turkey was a motor racing event for rally cars that was held over three days between 13 and 15 October 2006. It marked the 7th running of the Rally of Turkey, and was the thirteenth round of the 2006 World Rally Championship season. The event was also the eighth round of the 2006 Junior WRC.
