Abdul Joshi
Abdul Joshi (born 3 December 1984) from Shimsal is a Pakistani mountaineer who became the first climber in the world to summit the main Passu Cones peak in Pakistan's Gilgit-Baltistan on 14 August 2021. Abdul is known as the "Path Finder" amongst the local mountaineering fraternity for his talent for finding new, unclimbed routes. He is also the first person in the world to cross the F.N./Joshi Pass and Verjerav Pass. On 16 April 2021, Abdul became the first Pakistani to summit Annapurna, the tenth-highest peak in the world at , along with his climbing partner, Sirbaz Khan. Shimshal, Gilgit Baltistan
Shimshal (old name: Shingshal) ( ur, شمشال) is a village located in Gojal Tehsil of Hunza District, in the Gilgit–Baltistan region of Pakistan. It lies at an altitude of above sea level and is the highest settlement in the district. It is the largest valley in Gilgit-Baltistan and it covers almost area of Hunza District. It is in the valley of the Shimshal River, a tributary of the Hunza River. Shimshal is a border village that connects the Gilgit-Baltistan area of Pakistan with China. Annapurna
Annapurna (; ne, अन्नपूर्ण) is a mountain situated in the Annapurna mountain range of Gandaki Province, north-central Nepal. It is the tenth highest mountain in the world at above sea level and is well known for the difficulty and danger involved in its ascent. Passu ( ur, ) is a small village located in Gojal valley upper Hunza of the Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan region of Northern Pakistan. Situated along the Karakoram Highway in Upper Hunza, Pakistan, Passu is a popular tourist destination in Pakistan and all over the world because of its easily accessible sweeping landscapes, and vistas of the 7,478 m (24,534 ft) tall Passu Sar mountain, the Passu Glacier, and Tupopdan 6,106m (20,033 ft).
