2012 LET Access Series
The 2012 LET Access Series was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from March through November 2012 across Europe. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour. Tournament results The table below shows the 2012 schedule. The numbers in brackets after the winners' names show the number of career wins they had on the LET Access Series up to and including that event. Order of Merit rankings The top three players on the Order of Merit earned LET membership for the Ladies European Tour. Players finishing in positions 4–20 got to skip the first stage of the qualifying event and automatically progress to the final stage of the Lalla Aicha Tour School. Golf
Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Golf, unlike most ball games, cannot and does not use a standardized playing area, and coping with the varied terrains encountered on different courses is a key part of the game. Courses typically have either 18 or 9 ''holes'', regions of terrain that each contain a ''cup'', the hole that receives the ball. Each hole on a course contains a teeing ground to start from, and a putting green containing the cup. There are several standard forms of terrain between the tee and the green, such as the fairway, rough (tall grass), and various ''hazards'' such as water, rocks, or sand-filled ''bunkers''. Caroline Afonso
Caroline Afonso (born 20 February 1985) is a retired French professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour (LET) 2008–2016. She was runner-up twice on the LET and won three LET Access Series events. Career Afonso started playing golf at 10 and was coached by Philippe Mendiburu, father of LET player Sandrine Mendiburu. She won the French Ladies Amateur Championship twice and was ranked best amateur in France 2007. Afonso turned professional at the end of 2007 and joined the Ladies European Tour on her first attempt in 2008, where she in her rookie year recorded top-10 finishes at Ladies Scottish Open and Austrian Ladies Open, and ended the season 44th in the Order of Merit. Fourqueux Ladies Open
Fourqueux () is a former commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France in north-central France. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the commune Saint-Germain-en-Laye. It is a small suburb 20 km west of Paris. It is known for having a diverse community, due to the Lycée International being located in the neighboring town of Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Antonella Cvitan (born 3 September 1980) is a Swedish professional golfer and former Ladies European Tour player. Career Cvitan turned professional in 2001 and joined the Ladies European Tour, having finished 26th at Q-School. She played on the LET until 2010. 2007 was her best season, with top-15 finishes at the Ladies Open of Portugal and Ladies Scottish Open. Playing on the Nedbank Women's Golf Tour in South Africa several seasons early 2000s, Cvitan was runner-up at the 2005 Telkom Women's Classic in Pretoria, two strokes behind Laurette Maritz, after she birdied her final three holes. The Ladies Finnish Open is a professional women's golf tournament held in Finland. Marianne Skarpnord
Marianne Skarpnord (born 11 February 1986) is a Norwegian professional golfer playing on the Ladies European Tour. Amateur career As a junior, Skarpnord was considered one of the biggest talents in Norwegian golf. In 2003, she won the Girls Amateur Championship, defeating Beatriz Recari of Spain in the final match. She also won the Junior Solheim Cup with Europe the same year. Skarpnord made a 6 footer to secure the win for the European team. In 2004, she finished 3rd in the British Girls Championship. She finished 12th in the qualifying school for the Ladies European Tour and got her tour card for the 2005 season.
