20 Minute Workout
''20 Minute Workout'' is a Canadian-produced aerobics-based television program that ran from 1983 to 1984, in which "a bevy of beautiful girls" demonstrated exercise on a rotating platform. It was created by Ron Harris in 1983, based on his cable TV series '' Aerobicise''. Series background The series was produced by Tantra Entertainment in association with the Canadian animation company Nelvana, and broadcast locally on Citytv. In the United States, it was syndicated by Orion Television. Two seasons of the program were produced, although reruns continued to appear for many years afterwards. The first season featured a different instructor for each day of the week, Monday through Friday. Bess Motta, Arlaine Wright, Holly Butler, Nicole Nardini, and Anne Schumacher all had speaking roles. Ron Harris (photographer)
Ron Harris (1933 – May 26, 2017) was an American photographer, videographer, and television director. Early life and career Harris was born in The Bronx, and attended High School of Performing Arts. He began his career as a fashion photographer. ''Aerobicise'' In 1980, ''Aerobicise'' began with a four-minute pilot featuring Harris’ then girlfriend, Jami Allen, later associate producer and voice-over of ''Aerobicise''. In 1981, Harris created and directed the exercise show, ''Aerobicise'' on the cable television network Showtime. ''Aerobicise'' was nominated for a CableACE Award and became the highest grossing exercise video series of its time. He later created '' 20 Minute Workout''. Most of the performers in the original ''Aerobicise'' show were trained dancers. ''The Price Is Right'' is an American television game show where contestants compete by guessing the prices of merchandise to win cash and prizes.
