The 2024–25 ISU Speed Skating World Cup was an international level speed skating tournament. The season consisted of 6 events, and began on 22 November 2024 in Nagano, Japan and ended on 2 March 2025 in Heerenveen, Netherlands. Jenning De Boo
Jenning de Boo (born 22 January 2004) is a Dutch speed skater who specializes in the sprint distances. Career De Boo started his career as a short track speed skater. He competed in the 500m and 1,000m short track events at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics in Lausanne, Switzerland. He switched to long track speed skating in 2023. At the 2023 World Junior Speed Skating Championships in February 2023 he won the silver medal in the team sprint. De Boo made his ISU Speed Skating World Cup debut in November 2023 at the Meiji Hokkaido-Tokachi Oval in Japan where he finished tenth in the 1000m race. Tatsuya Shinhama (born 11 July 1996) is a Japanese speed skater who is specialized in the sprint distances. Career In March 2018 Shinhama won the gold medal at the 500m and 1000m events of the World University Speed Skating Championships in Minsk, Belarus. Laurent Dubreuil (born July 25, 1992) is a Canadian speed skater. He competes primarily in the short distances of 500 m and 1000 m. Dubreuil won his first World Cup medal during the 2014–15 season when he placed third in the World Cup stop in Seoul. He won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Single Distance Championships and a silver medal in the 1000m at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Jordan Stolz (born May 21, 2004) is an American professional speed skater. At the 2023 World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships, Stolz won the 500m to become the youngest single distance world champion in history. He also became the first male skater to win three individual gold medals at a single World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships, a feat he repeated in 2024. Thialf
Thialf () is an ice arena in Heerenveen, Netherlands. Thialf is used for long track speed skating, short track speed skating, ice hockey, figure skating, ice speedway, and non-sporting events. The outdoor rink was opened in 1967, and the indoor stadium was opened in 1986. Several world records have been set in the indoor stadium. Annually, Thialf hosts two Speed Skating World Cup events. Ice Arena Tomaszów Mazowiecki is Poland's first year-round ice skating rink that serves for speed skating, figure skating, ice hockey, short track and roller skating. It is located near Pilica River in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, 10 kilometers away from the Olympic Sports Centre in Spała, Poland. It was built between 2016 and 2017. Construction The investment was initiated by Mayor of Tomaszów Mazowiecki Marcin Witko, and Polish Sport and Tourism Minister Witold Bańka. Pettit National Ice Center
The Pettit National Ice Center is an indoor ice skating facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, featuring two international-size ice rinks and a 400-meter speed skating oval. Located adjacent to Wisconsin State Fair Park, the center opened on January 1, 1993, and was named for Milwaukee philanthropists Jane and Lloyd Pettit. Pettit National Ice Center Inc., a non-profit organization, has operated the site since the facility opened. The Pettit Center replaced, and was constructed on land once occupied by the Wisconsin Olympic Ice Rink, an outdoor facility that was in operation from 1967 to 1991.
